I have vortex rearsets on mine and I set the pegs up pretty high. My toe sliders scrap before the pegs do. I've been working on hanging off a bit more but sometimes I get caught off guard and just lay her down until shit scraps.lol

fatsix...
Awesome looking 14!
I know it's a bit off topic but i really don't want to waste space by starting a new thread for one question.
How are you finding those Angel GT tires? Actually thinking of getting a set for my 14 because i only get 5100 km (3200 miles +-) out of a Michelin Pilot Power 3 rear.
Thanks

That Blue Meanie is one sweet color...very nice.I still don't know HOW the heck you guys are grinding your belly panels...how the heck you leaning that far over? What type of turn is doing this? You're either going terribly fast or yer on some sharp ass corner somehow....In all my cornering at high speeds and such...I've never even come close to anything like scraping the bodywork...or the pegs for that matter...and I've got Buell 'lowered' pegs on mine...what's yer secret boys?Toe scrapes...yup...done that plenty of times.
I've hit the profile edge many times, but never scraped anything.I feel like I'm doing something wrong...
I wish one of you guys here that's scraping the panel like that could get a vid or a pic in the max lean position.....I've tried everything I know of to get even a peg scrape....nothing works. And I've nailed corners well above 120 several times...I just don't know how you're doing it.

Grn14- I haven't scraped any bodywork since I installed new suspension. With gear on I weigh about 230 lbs and I think that was to much for my tired stock suspension. I can lean more now and scrape less.

Sorry, I haven't visted Wolfmans' blog in a while. I haven't ridden since October because of the cold.
How are you finding those Angel GT tires?
They are a hell of alot better than the stockers. I have 5k on them and they are wearing great. I tried the angels because I got in on the FREE FRONT TIRE deal. As you can see they stick well enough to grind the belly pan. They were good in rain.
What brand and kind of tint did u use for the tail lights and front turning signals? They look hot as shit. Thx.
VHT nightshades. Probably about 10 coats, and sanded them down after drying. They looked great in the daytime, but it killed the light output. Not to mention little debris in the air chipped the tint off the front of the front turn signals, and the debris from the tire chips the rear lens. I cleaned the lenses with gas (do not use anything harsher or it will compromise the plastic and turn it white, I baught 2 new rears because I ruined them).
I wound up taking all of the lenses apart, and plasti dipping the reflectors. Its very subtle, and doesn't screw up the light output.
I still don't know HOW the heck you guys are grinding your belly panels.
Bike was lowered -1.5" in the rear, -2" in the front and I smashed the oil pan. Raised the bike back up -.75" in the rear -1.25" in the front and scraped toes and murphs foot pegs on on/off ramps. Put the stock foot pegs on (minus rubbers) and now I can scrape the belly pan on the on and off ramps, mid pipe on the opposite side. Angel GT's might have helped. I basically run CBlasts' suspension settings. Most likely due to the bike being lowered.
I eventually put the rear to -.5" (0" with 55 series tire) and -1" in the front. I put the murphs pegs back on. I don't believe I tried to run the bike into the corner as hard since. The pegs still scrape, but not as easily.

Bikemanusa,
Where does the 8-9" measuring tape land if you set the hook at the exhaust tip and measured that 8-9" range and it fell within that cooked range?
The reason why I ask is, my nephew had straight pipes made for his h-d chopper and the pipes were raw at the time. He chromed the pipes later, but I notice a hot spot about 8 or 9 inches up the tip of the exhaust end. I wonder if that is as far as backpressure winds up?
So when there is no pulse or the compression stroke happening, the air is going to fill that void, but up the pipe so much. This is due to the exhaust about to open and we have that lean happen right there at 8-9" up the pipe and that says why I think it cooks right at that point, because that's where the h-d piped blued.
