Launch Control
04/21/15 8:39 PM

Integrated launch control within the ecu flash is a fantastic upgradeable option now! Thanks to Justin at Woolich and to Nels! Just awesome technology! Power is nothing without control. This feature allows us to simply pull in the clutch fully, engage first gear, hold wide open throttle, and she will only rev to the predermined point, say 4000 rpm as you keep it smashed and dump the clutch! Then it ramps in power over the course of the next 2500ms or as adjusted. All parameters can be tweaked to suit the riders preferences! Absolutely repeatable perfect launches... Every time. Done.

When ya dump that clutch while holding wot and she feeds in full thrust... It feels like you are riding a Higgs Particle Drive.

This is top shelf stuff guys. Bravo and mad respect. I would absolutely go nuts with these launch control power ramp settings and really put together a nuclear melt down aggressive ramp for my bike. Give my respect to Nels bro.

RE: Launch Control

Hey Everyone, thank you for the positive response! This tech is absolutely amazing! The feel is something I have to almost re-learn a little bit, hard launches and right where I expect it to burn off the tire as it did before, it just hooks harder, pulls in a linear 'never quit' fashion. I am just speechless. I have only hit that launch 4 times now... And I am still kinda stunned. Just wicked.

And to answer Ben, yes, it still free revs as normal. Hold in clutch for two seconds and 1st gear is now in launch mode. Want to free rev? You simply either launch as normal and she exits launch mode, or engage neutral, let out clutch, and then she will be free revving as normal. So: holding clutch in activates launch control, if you are at a light and dont want to use it, simply launch as normal and all functions normal. Want to annihilate the guy next to you at a stop??? Simply roll up to 4000 (or predetermined launch rpm), after you hold in clutch in 1st gear for two seconds (2000ms), bike will hold that rpm as you roll past it and you will know launch control is engaged. Light green, dump clutch, GONE.

No unfortunately it doesn't come free bud. We have to pay a tune key fee every time we flash an ecu with this upgrade. I am doing an introductory upgrade price of $250.00 for the launch control option. That includes follow up support for any changes or adjustments if necessary. I have a data base of start point settings that are pretty flawless. The first set I have run feels perfect.

This is what needs to happen. If you guys had Mavericks Launch control settings(once built)flashed into your ECU ??? Would be wicked for sure. Not many stock wheel base guys out there have this mans clutch hand or are capable of running Mavericks Ets. Now if Maverick ran faster with Launch control ????? That would be a wow.And yes you would most definately want it.

I played with Time Programmable Rev Launch Limiters. As bike mods changed over and over bike got slower. Curves had to always be reset. Not one setting for All set ups.

If possible, Would definitely be worth spending time at the Track with Mav to get his settings dialed in. Once this is done, then beg for his map lol

This is an almost infinitely adjustable system with smoooth ramp capability. This tech applied this way is what every single moto gp bike on the grid is running. Wayyyy more advanced than an old two-stage msd launch box. The tuning resolution and linearity of the ramping is a singular achievement! Fantastic job Justin! Just freakin so cool how it ramps in thrust to max. Fun. Consistent. I am still kinda blown away. Did several more launches and wow. Thats pull right there. That tire is in pain all through first. Lol

Not as of yet. Fan temperature control for the Gen 1 may be coming soon though. That would be a very very welcome addition, as that bike truly needs it. Fingers crossed.

Yes, its not an air shifter, it is a strain guage setup also integrated directly into the ecu flash. Pretty wicked. You can see the kill time adjustability settings for the shifter in the pic. Pretty awesome stuff!

Race Tools roll out has begun!

2011-2015 & 2008-2010 ZX10R, 2012-2015 ZX14R Race Tools Packages (Quickshifter / Launch Control / Pit Speed Limiter), along with Launch Control keys for customers with existing quickshifters, are available for purchase now. Releases for further models including Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha are not far behind. Those who have experienced it, call it a game changer (and we've got the video to prove it!).

Race Tools ZX10R 2008-2010 & 2011-2015

The Race Tools package allows you to enable Quickshifter, Launch Control and Pit Speed Limiter in the Stock ECU.

The package includes:
• High quality strain gauge Quickshifter with digitally controlled pressure sensing that can be used in regular or race shift pattern.
• Shift rod for standard shift configuration*
• Quickshifter harness which allows the quickshifter to be plugged into the bikes wiring harness**
• Race Tools Key to allow the use of the Race Tools on one ECU in the Woolich Racing Tuned software.
• Quickshifter Kill times are configurable per gear with 3D maps allowing Kill Times to be set for a range of TPS and RPM combinations. The quickshifter kills both fuel and ignition.
• Launch Control allows you to configure Delay, Launch RPM, Ramp Time and Ramp RPM.
A Pit Speed Limiter cable is available separately and allows you to set the RPM to limit the speed while riding through the pits. It consists of a harness and water proof push button switch which allows you to limit the RPM of the bike in 1st gear while riding in the pits. You must have a Race Tool Package to use the Pit Speed Limiter Harness.

Race Tools 2012-2015 ZX14R

Please contact us via Support Ticket to secure your Race Tools for the ZX14R. This item is currently waitlisted for a short period. First in, first served!

Note the ZX14R uses a replacement gear shift lever, contact us if you are using aftermarket rear sets as we are able to accomodate this configuration as well.

Already have a Quickshifter and want Launch Control only?

We've got you covered. Our Launch Control allows you to set a Launch RPM and also Ramp Parameters to assist with getting fast consistent launches from your bike, all controlled by the stock ECU.

If you already have a Quickshifter or Air Shifter installed on your bike or you only need the Launch Control function you can purchase this Launch Control Key. The Launch Control Key allows you to enable the Launch Control for one ECU.

Launch Control keys can be purchased on the product page for your model.

Launch Control in action... Consistent, fast starts.

Australian Superbike team, Cube Racing, have assisted us with our R&D in the lead up to the release of our new Race Tools packages. When they aren't in pole position, they're picking up 4-5 positions off the line, every time. Huge thanks to Ben Henry and Mike Jones from Cube, along with WSBK rider, Bryan Staring for their invaluable feedback during the development of our new Race Tools.

In a way A person could use the woolie with an airshiter and not have to buy a separate killbox? Trigger the ram and it'll trigger the strain gauge...or am I dreaming?

Uh ho
I think i'm starting to get confused
we are talking about two different ecu programmings.....Right

The Race tool offered by Woolich
and
the one now being offered by CBlast.

Let's keep the two separate.

Sebastian i'm interested in the ecu launch control upgrade
Since I currently have a HM lever quickshifter which works great i might ad
will it be effected by your the launch control program.?
I don't see how since the lever wires goes directly to coils and does not interrupt the fuel.

Cap there's a launch control program and quick shifter program..
Both are offered by Sebastian..

There is no interference with the HM lever and launch/flash
That is how mine is setup (mine is being done now) ...
