Went and did it. Made it down to the Honda East Toledo open house and made a dyno pull. My 2012 14r, 55xx miles. No power mods. Its the lowest stock dyno pull Ive read about. BUT several other bikes seemed a little low as well.

Dynoed in 4th gear. Lowered to 35 psi in the tire, I have read it should be 30 to prevent slip? No TQ reading for a cheap, quick pull. 20 bucks. Made 179.56. SAE. Smoothing 5.

Conditions 83.17 degrees f, 29.53 in-HG, Humidity 35%, SAE 1.01.

So is it low due to SAE? or just a stingy dyno? most of the runs I have seen have always been 183-4 to as much as 195.

My friends 1st gen FZ1 only made 112.5. an 08 BMW k1200s made 136 with a slip on. another 14r with 2 bro's slip on's and wrapped pipes made 185ish? and an 07 Gsxr600 made under a hundred. 99.x. should be 105, right?

That's about right on really. Most people who dyno a stock 14r in the 190's are on a happy dyno. My bone stock pulled 185hp, which most of the major mags also put down. Then when I went full exhaust and mapping I hit 201hp. So your dyno might be a lil low that day,a 600 should be about 101-105hp. But remember it's only a number. Now to really use the dyno right, go back after some exhaust changes and see how much you gained. That's what a dyno is really all about, a measuring tool. If that same day an gen1 stock 14 went after you he would of been around 18-20hp down on yours and you would have felt better.

I am running Yosh slips and ecu flash. I am installing full sys via akra heads, keeping my Yosh slips and adding a Dyno tuned PC5. I plan to post these comparo before and after charts.

Most dynos dont take in to account the ram air effect, so Im betting your putting out more, just my opinion, with a free flowing pipe, ecu flash/pcv you would (should) be over 200

Like cara said, here are a few things. A clean dyno: That means the sniffer needs servicing all fresh is the run. A reset dyno: That means to recalibrate the atmo gauge. Clean the dyno wheel off: remove the box where tire trash accumulates from the rollers and whatever else drags that is not cleaned off those parts under the box. That is sans the air you don't have and you want to match numbers with a sea level bike with air? I don't care if your ears pop, you won't sea any pop in HP we tune the bike 10 flights up a building is the other dyno.

Ram effect is linear. So you would have to have a fan pushing to the square of the speed and that equals a balanced effect like electricity. Do the math. I see two numbers, i.e., HP and calc'd mph numbers = Formula.
