Of lean angle, that is.

Loose the weight, go full suspension and 55 rear if you haven't already. The way mine seats, scraping anything is asking for trouble. You could remove the lowers...I was riding like that for a while.

Yeah, I've got a 200/55 rear and the preloads cranked up appropriately. Full suspension is the next step. Even cut down I'm still 210, so my weight is always going to be outside the design for the bike. :/

That's some mad lean angle right there.
Maybe you need a 10R.

I had a 10R. My dedicated track bike is an SXV now. THAT has some crazy lean angle!

The patch on the right is smaller cause the node thingy on the right is smaller. :)

I dragged my right side on stock suspension, but haven't had any issues since I upgraded my suspension. My stock rear shock wasn't terrible but my stock forks were complete junk. Once I got the front sorted the scraping has vanished. I also put vortex rear sets on and moved the pegs up and back, so no more scraping there either.

I hear ya. I'll likely get the forks resprung and revalved, but it can wait. The bike still handles very well with smooth, firm inputs and some planning. :)

Hard bags, rearsets, suspension. That's $1500 to spread out over the next couple months, unless I can sell a few guns!

I was talking about the bike! Not you.

Yeah, the bike is porky, but so am I!

The stock exhaust probably weighs 40lbs more than my Brocks Ti system. I think wheels are next. I'm not really too worried about chasing ounces, but the exhaust and wheels are obvious ones.

Funny cause I alway thought it was poor technique on my part to scrape fairings and that I should be hanging off more and keeping the bike more upright...

On the bike this big and heavy that is some impressive work right there TBoss! Wow!

There is a relatively finite lean angle at which the fairings touch. Your body position just requires you to lean less for a given speed, which of course means you're going to hit that corner faster the next time and continue using up lean angle. Eventually, even hanging off like a monkey, you'll start touching parts of the bike down.

I was going to make up sliders for the lowers after I did that on my bike. Looks like there might be a little more demand. I saw Sebby finally got his stripes too. A little more ride height helps too, But I'm not sure where where the fine line with altering the rake is.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe throwing some Klucky Pucks on each side.

That would just reduce clearance, though, so I'm going to stick with replacing lowers at some point.

Hey T! I want some 'clucky' pucks! :)) that would be hilarious, clanking down the track in transitions! ROFL
Thanks for yesterday T! Man that was fun. I know you were not feeling your best. Can't believe you were even riding, you are a freakin man of iron with a will to match.

Got to admit.
I'm not in TBoss's league.

I only have lower fairing scrapes on the left side!

Id heat up a toe slider and bend that to fit first...$10?

Id fill and paint those lowers white and call it a day. Sebby has pics of mine before and after.

My idea would be 1/2" tops with replaceable center wear section. Aluminum, stainless, plastic? Ideally id want a bracket behind it. Its not like i dont have time.
