Z1000 Ninja handle bar base fit a zx14r?

I've been comparing the 2012 Z1000 Ninja's handlebar base to my ZX14r. They use the same Rod and screw that connects to the base.

The Z1000 Ninja is $94 at bikebandit and the Base mounts differently.
I also wonder if the Fork circumferences are the same?
Anyone have the same thoughts?

1000 makes more sense. I did a little reading. You need 28mm of fork to clamp on to. They are 50mm diameter, so they should fit. People love or hate the bar angle. It might be an option worth looking into if that's what you want.

Its a damn shame that no other rear set mounts interchange with the 14. I should make an adapter plate so i can use other brands, not to mention i'm going to need the plate to put the pegs where i want them beyond the adjust ability of the pegs. Longer shift rod....

I had a 1986 Concours and a 1989 ZX Ninja at the same time. I upgraded to 87 Concours handlebars (higher) and used the 86 bars on the Ninja, a direct bolt on. The cables and hoses fit. I had a more comfortable riding position on both Bikes.

This is a photo of the 87 bar on the left and 86 bar on the right on the Ninja.
