Frame Plugs...again
02/27/12 11:55 AM

Hey Guys,
Was performing some searches and reading about what people have done to cover the six frame holes (motor mount, swing arm and the other big hole for rear shock adjustment).

There are those rubber plugs on ebay. The cheapest, cost wise.

More rubber plugs on www.fat300customcycles.com along with some black billet stuff. Although, quite pricy they look OK. It’s hit or miss, if you can get the ones without in the ZX emblem. I’m not sure how these would look with the satin black finish on the 14R’s frame. Has anybody tried these or know of anyone that has them? Fit and finish would have to be pretty good at those prices. They even have reservoir covers and caps to cover the specimen cups. Not sure about them.

Lots of discussions of how cheap some of the rubber plugs look and was wondering if any one distributor is better or is this all the same stuff.

Someone also did some trimming to the rubber plugs to make them lay flatter and looked a lot better in the picture.

The assume these will fit the 14R since some have carried forward (old to new)

Thanks, any guidance would be appreciated,
Dan
