I'd have a looksee if you can't just use a couple L brackets to hold the plate and order an LCD to illuminate. Hook into the wire for the stock tag light.
Frame sliders, I'd stay away from unless you reallly like the way they look. See your other thread.

Got one and I love it, I prefer the clean look on the back, plus it's more aerodynamic! LOL A couple of things, I spliced in to the stock harness and soldered the connections, that way I can change it back if needed. When you remove the stock fender you lose the red side reflectors. I got stopped at a check-point (think they were looking for someone and thankfully it wasn't me) and the officer pointed out I did not have the required red reflectors in the rear, he was very nice and just told me I did need to fix them. I used some 1 x 1 aluminum angle, drilled holes to match plate pattern, painted them black and applied red reflective tape. The new reflectors look clean and now I'm legal. I'm sure different places are more or less restrictive but don't want or need a ticket for something this simple. The Yoshi was a good choice for me.

Holy crap! That dude either seriously hates sport bikes or maybe was a cycle count and really concerned about safety. Either way..just wow. I might expect this from a traffic stop, but not a check-point. It's kind of like, well, uh we can talk about my reflectors or you can continue looking for this criminal which is apparently bad enough you're setting up check points!?

In defence of the officer I have to say he really pretty nice. When he asked for my insurance I told him it was under the seat and I would have to unlock it and he said never mind. The officer was very nice and I truly think he was trying to help me avoid a problem later with someone who didn't like bikers. I have seen on other forums where people have received tickets for not having proper reflectors, BS in my opinion but it is the law. I wasn't upset and was happy that this officer WASN'T a jerk!!! Plus I think this officer just wan't to look over my bike because he commented several times about how clean and good looking it was, and he might have been secretly wanting one!

The LED was part of a plate kit I bought a long time ago for another bike and never used. I actually have another light laying around, I think. They were intended to replace the plate mounting bolts originally.
I have not had any tire clearance issues.

I got it on and i like it, but i wish there was a better way to run the tag light wire, mine has some slack in it and would like to clean it up from the side view under the bike, any ideas? It also leaves some holes exposed i think...anybody notice this and rectify it?

Go to the hardware store and get a couple of plastic plugs, can't remember if they are 1/2" or 9/16". I just pulled the wires up inside the fender and zip tied them to take up the slack. The one thing I did do was leave the stock harness intact, I sliced in and soldered the wires to the new light, used two coats of liquid electrical tape to cover the splices
