Been there too. Got lucky on the lower. Just needed some touchups. Feeler peg's still waiting for an epoxy job. Don't plan to buy a whole new footpeg until I'm ready to scrape feeler.

+1 for bike bandit, I had to order a ton of parts from them for my ZX9 and they were around half the price of the Canadian dealers...

I think I had mine a total of 3 weeks and one morning rolling it out of garage onto the driveway, I didn't put the kickstand all the way down, and started to let go. Ended up having to lower it to the ground because I couldn't stop it completely.

So I had to reach under it to the footpeg bracket and what little sub-frame is accessible, and deadlift it back upright.

The only damage was a tiny nick on the left mirror and a 1-inch circular section of the lower cowling. I left the cowling alone, since I'm replacing it anyway. And put a dab of semigloss on the mirror housing.

Talk about embarassing!

^^^My story to a T. I usually shut the bike off in gear, put the stand down and get off before rolling the bike into the garage. 4th ride, I decided to let it run while I got off to open the garage door but clicking into neutral isn't a part of my usual routine when getting off the bike. By shifting into neutral, the "do something with your left toe" comand was fulfilled and I was clear to proceed. I had quite a surprize when I swung leg over and leaned the bike onto the stand which was never put down. Now I just make sure my foot is on top of the side stand "foot" when I get off the bike.

I fixed up all the pits in the paint and the scratch under the mirror. It was a lot of work but it helped keep me in bike mode over the winter. I actually think buying a new lower would be worth the price considering how much time it took to repair back to like new appearence. The side fairing with the directional is pretty expensive though. I still have 1 or 2 tiny spots to fix up there.
