I've always liked Bastiani. Kid is pretty chill. And Ducati have already hinted at
Miller that they expect more from him. I'm betting they're keeping a close eye
on Enea. I think I saw Rossi in the stands during the race with fans looking at
a catalog of baby cribs.
I'm hoping Frankie can get his knee stronger and give his teammate a run. I'm not sure what is going to happen to Marc. Video showed him reaching up and rubbing his shoulder several times during practice. Apparently
the pain is still pretty bad.

I think it's coming down to the wire and if they had any balls, they'd make Miller block Qman for the rest of the races and keep Pecco in the lead, duc wins a championship finally.

Mmmm, I don't know.

Thats if Miller and the Ducati combo is fast enough to do so.
And I don't believe they are.
Once Qman shows a rear wheel thats that.

But there is no doubt Miller could be a real fruit fly and be a massive pest to Quartararo...

Poor Nakagami. He's really coming on this season but just can't hit one out of the park. So close. Friend was on the phone while we were both watching warm up. His feed was slower. He asked about MM and I said he'll win this. He's got this track dialed. What a record. I said it was 7, but it was missing by a podium so that's where the 7 came in, so now it's 7 wins, one podium.

What about the rest in the back? What a mix of I don't know? Rossi sort of sandbagging. Dovi is doing what? Miller in 8th and his contract for next year said what? How time flies. Next year might be one wild back and forth between most of the field. It will be a who to watch rather than watching a boring 4 second lead.

Qman has this Championship done and dusted.
Deserved but jammy bugger though.
Rain predicted time and time again where he and Yamaha struggle and it dries up for the race every time.

Most nervous man in the paddock?
J Miller.

Moto2's Remy Gardener blew COTA.
From a commanding World Championship lead to next to nothing.
Going to take real strength of mind to pull this one off now as instead of momentum and confidence he has nerves and uncertainty.

But what a MotoGP season 2022 will be!
So much talent.
So open.
Even a fully fit Marquez would not have it all his own way.

Hahaha.
Was just reading my opening post to this thread.

Bagnaia. Another new factory rider but is coming off a very poor season (Bet Ductati wish they still had Dovi over this option).

Couldn't have got that more wrong...

Anyone catch ATF? Something interesting behind the scenes are not being exposed. The new crew chief change was one clue. The rev of frustration was the last straw. But wait! Did you hear Qman rev shit out of the engine when he won, looked in the lens of the bike cam doing it? Oh, but that's OK.

I watched it live and saw that with a raised eyebrow as well Hub.
But in my opinion Vinales held the throttle open at rev limit to do damage.
Qman reved in short bursts to celebrate.

But still I'm sure many like you and I noticed.

I want it to rain for the remaining races to see what Qman has...

Marquez is still the King of COTA. I heard that Cota agreed to the demands of the riders and will repave
the track from turn 2 to turn 10.Happy that they'll be coming back next year.
I hoped Miller would do better. He was killing everyone in practice.
On a sort of related note, today I went down to Thunderhill Raceway to meet a friend I've been mentoring.
He didn't race this weekend because both his bikes are having work done on them, so we were both
helping out another friend who is a novice. It was the first time I've been to an AFM round since
I retired in 2007. Great day. Its so fun seeing and hearing the bikes live. Instantly the juices
wrre flowing again. I started having thoughts about building my 2nd 1983 GS750 into a
Super Dinosaur bike. Alas, knee and finances won't allow that to happen. Le sigh....
I'm going to be pitting for my friend at all Thunderhill rounds next year though. This winter
we're working on his fitness. He's put on a bit of weight.

You are right mad.
The sights and sounds of a track day are amazing.
Especially when the fast group gets out there.

Alas, knee and finances won't allow that to happen.

Wait till the knee gets better and then borrow some cash from Grn14!

He's put on a bit of weight.

You're playing my song...

I don't want to puke and mention a ball sport, but a few guys were over the neighbor's to watch a game and was invited. I said no Kruz and I are playing book savvy and thanks anyway. Do I want to be around those idiots screaming when I could hear them as I'm thinking, booking it, typing it?

Now it's 4am and now I'm screaming when Miller goes down. The race keeps panning out and to me, this was more beginning to look more like a technical race gone _________ fill in the blank. Would like to hear your opinion about it, but this was not what I think is a 'race of the year' kind of feeling.

The feeling was more like a technical pit call. But a bad pit call-go hard front at the last moment? Dovi says the duc's call is in the data, not rider input, if none at all. You dumb fuck fall on your knees blunder! Same bikes, same tires, same turn, same crash.

Lost the championship. I'm more pissed about putting two front runners in career ending I don't wanna go there. What the fuck where you idiots thinking? You had it in the bag-cry-ya all night are they. Time to retire whoever. And if they still have a points run on the manufacturers cup... and I don't wanna go there either.

I have no clue what Miller's clause is for next year, but shit, he keeps crashing on pit calls and not his? Perform or we'll end your career with callas knees and a late decision. Should be interesting to see what happens next year.

GOAT leaves, and 3M is not finished. Had to add a third to MM for he is back; times the last and this round. Miracle Marc. Back from the body damage only alien blood can mend. Guy is like a lit fuse without lighting it. Out from the white sheets and is pumping iron like landing a fish on a boat 1-2-1-2 flopping around with the pushups already. Amazing.

Qman working his way up like a 22yr old is developing into a multi timer. Except popping fresh dough Basti buns on a 2yr old bike comes from 16th and those other come from the behind races and those stats. It sure is not the bike. Doesn't matter what Enea is on, he's going to be a problem next year.

Yeah, so more of a technical robbery on Pecco's chance. It is what it is. Would have been nice for those two to take it down to the wire. And here I thought the GOAT was sandbagging it. 10th is not bad for playing it safe in Italy.

This Marquez saga is just ongoing!

When he won his 8th world championship I said the only thing that would stop him was a serious injury.
Well, it's more than serious.
And the hits keep on coming as per this weekend.

I wonder how much actually is concussion and whether the shoulder is involved again with Honda keeping the details quiet?

Who knows.
Time will tell.

28 is the cutoff for me. Peak and hang around = MM
Acosta is 17, maybe matched Marc when they were the same age. Possibly beats MM if he wins next week?
Yes, cruel when Binder plows into 2nd place in points leader and the championship would have been a ripper watch next week. But I doubt he would have beat Pedro. 14th to 1st. Blew it, found himself back in 8th or so. Comes back and wins it. Still, he's skipping class like MM did. That's what Marc is up against is himself, some years younger.

Miller is going to be the short story next year. 2 races in I give it and he's out of there. One of the fastest laps of the race and who win? Not him. Another cruel move. And I said they'd bring back Bradl. Should have MM's brother fill that in.

Cross place, in line, duc and that configuration. When will the big4 figure it out, it's a V?

I may have to correct myself. Buddy calls and told me to hand in my motorcycle card and says Honda is a V4. Then I argue about trickledown to production... cross plane, exhaust subthrottle lollypop plate. Where are the years of V's and no world superbike to beat a V using all that V tech on the track?

That's how I'm thinking inline are the big4.

SPOILER ALERT !!
Wow. 5 poles in a row for Pecco. If he didn't have some of his crashes we might
have been looking at the 2nd Ducati champion. Mir finally qualified good and followed it up
with a solid podium. And its good to see Miller back on the box.
KTMs were lost all weekend. But Iker sure tried hard. I hope we see him back in the series.
Impressive ride of the day was Remy Gardner. He stayed patient with Raul out in front
until Fernandez tire went off, then made his move for a very important win. A champions
ride. Only needs 2 points to clinch.
And big congrats to Pedro Acosta. I guess it helps when you have a Daryn Binder cleaning
the track for you.
One more to go

Brushing Binder aside [funny boy], buddy says too little too late for Iker. I believe your boy is going to WSB? What is going to be interesting for me is, the short story of clause racing for Miller. Don't know what is read in it, but when that performance demand of being the points leader in the first few races, this contract says to do what Pecco missed out on. Basti to warm the seat up. Plenty of stories next year.

Yet again race direction get it completely wrong.

Binder destroyed a riders chance to become World Champion with his reckless and irresponsible riding.
A lifetime worth of effort gone in one moment.
And whats the penalty?
Disqualification from the race for Binder.

Big deal.

He was not fighting for the title.
He is going to MotoGP next season.
He loses absolutely nothing and pays zero for his actions.
Nothing but a mere slap on the wrist for the incredible damage he has done.

But completely standard for this soft, woke, do gooder world we live in today...

So, I just heard that Marc is sitting out Valencia. Apparently his concussion caused
a return of his vision problem. The same one that almost ended his career back
when he was in Moto2. He needed surgery for that one. I wish him the best. Its
going to be interesting to see how much these various injuries will affect him
next year, if he comes back.

Marc, I tried to call and say to park it. You've got millions. Can't beat the up and comers and think Honda is going to catch up with a duc if you don't out ride the bike. How did I know yannih's rolodex was stuck and couldn't get you phone to say you reached your peak and left a winner.

Watch him come out when the season is half over next year.

I bet they are drilling Miller and his contract to perform. That or Miller knows what's on the line. Since MM is probably out for next year and will try to catch up again? He'll just fungswae every stone layout on each track.

I'd like to see Miller end the year winning. Basti might pull one out of the hat, but practice says something else. Down to the wire with moto2 wrapping up that championship. How it all pans out, you think the next year can never top what was just passed. But it's a packed house with new talent and two era's gone past together.

I know one of three concussions changed my personality somewhat. I sure was not the same waking up from that one. I expect residuals from that double vision. Traumatic brain injury is up in the air. Depth perception alone is going to throw the times off.

The story for next year for me is Miller. Get the points lead early or tick-tock, Basti better perform for that ride tomorrow. Martin looks more consistent so it's any rookie's ride if Miller wilts next year. Miller being 26, next year is that prime number to pull it off. He's got that behind him if he wants it. It's not the bike, but a head game from here on out.

Welp, I almost pushed a tear out for yannih about Val getting the fuck out of the way finally. Pretty impressive none the less. And the 2nd ending era is MM. Most dominate rider for his short window of time. Residuals like depth perception is in question.

Next year is all about Miller for me. You knew it was only time the duc would cover the whole podium. Let's see what the off season does clocking down some dominate times.

Edit:
Talked to dr. friend [thru a friend] and he said laser surgery would help MM. I asked if is goes away gradually where they would avoid laser... he didn't ask.

It's no secret I wanted 46 to "get the fuck out of the way" for a while now, but watching the last race for Rossi was quite emotional.
And once the final lap was completed and it was all over, I now can't imagine MotoGP without him.
Strange how you don't know what you've got till its gone.
All the best and enjoy your retirement Vale.
Champion extrodinare.

Remy Gardener!!!
Nice to have an Australian World Champion again.
Congrats mate.

Ducati next year?
Bet they can't wait for next season to start.
Hard to see them being beaten if Marquez is not close to fully fit and the other manufacturers don't come to the party with substantial improvements.

Yet another amazing season in all 3 classes and full of amazing stories.
Till next year for more of the same boys...
