Colorado ride in June of 2012! Perhaps you have heard of the MSTA? If not here's your opportunity to find out more. This is the national rally for 2012 and will draw a good size group with some from both coasts in all likelihood.
Showcase your new ZX-14R or bring the tried and true to the Rockies. Riders typically go out in small congenial groups and self sort by passion for speed and/or sightseeing. This is NOT a large group barca-glide parade event. Maps and GPS routes are provided and yes, for newer riders, there usually is an expert-guided group. Emphasis is spirited riding at "the pace" without crossing the double yellow.
Of course you can go out with the GPS and a few "freaky fast" friends in your own small group to ride your mutual pace as well, if you aren't happy with any of the groups forming up or even go by yourself.
On and off road routes may be featured along with good food and hearty companionship about the tire kicking pit.
Event hotel and/or camping are options made available by early registration. Main rides are usually out and back to the event hotel with a round trip of 300 or so miles and lunch a feature of the stop at the far end of the loop in some interesting local theme restaurant.
Take a look and see if it would work for you. It would be cool to have a number of the forum memberrs in attendance and BG can't be too far from the hdq for the ride.
Cheers,
pb
