I think on the old board there was a person who made his own under seat strap hooks and in that thread was a place to get velcro under seat strap hooks.
Does anybody remember that one? I have searched google without luck.

nevermind I found it on Williemax... looks like it would work good for my tailbag...

I ordered one last night. Right now I am using an OLD bag that was with a set of OLD textile saddle bags as a tail bag. It had velcro straps that wotd go under the seat so I did the makeshift fit and it works. With the new strap I can buy a real tailbag that does not look like it was made in the 70's.

I found it by doing a lot of web searching on google.

The Hooker is adjustable in width
I modified by trimming of all excess material around the rings ( I didn't like the squared look)
I also center cut out material for the seat posts to go through to the frame

I then modified a Chase Harper Tail bag to use straps as shown in the last picture above
