I can attest, the split electrode spark plugs I put in were no better than the OEMs and the OEMs had about 40000 miles on them. Ran good before, ran good after. No dif. Still I suggest changing more often than that. The stockers looked pretty rough and who knows what is happening with molten balls of steel going down the cylinders.
