Hey J! The flash will work with stock cans, but it shouldn't be used with stock cans that haven't been Nast-I-fied (ie: cut to relieve that excess back pressure). Too much back pressure, the bikes systems can only do so much. The restrictive back pressure of the stock exhaust with its Cats and everything else chokes the bikes performance. It is better to either cut your stock cans like nasty to relieve some of that back pressure along with the flash, or simply do the flash when you upgrade ur exhaust.

Alright. Well, budget constraints and all, I won't be getting exhaust until next year. I'll probably get the CT duals. When the time comes, I know where to go for my uncorking needs. :)

I was, then Nels and I did 37 dyno runs to make it perfect. Then I went to Mike V., and I asked him to contribute his expertise on the dyno to further prove the flash. Which he did. And in communicating further with Nels and the customers I have flashed already, all input was clear. $250.00 was not enough. The effort, the work, the verification. What others are charging. So. The cost of the cblast flash is $400.00.

I'm back, still daydreaming about exhaust...

Let's say I get the CT duals. With your flash, do I need not worry about the power commander? Am I good to go with just the exhaust and your flash?

Just curious about how mod specific your flash is. If I'm up to date on the latest info, you're running your flash, Muzzy slip ons, and the stock header?

I really don't know what exhaust mod I want to do just yet. For the most part, I've been a slip-on guy and have never used a power commander.

I have a full system on my Husky, and a piggyback that lets me alter fueling, but it's all done seat-of-the pants. A thumper is quite a bit simpler. :)

The Muzzys are kind of a tossup for me. I dig the old school cans look, for sure. But something about the 14R feels like it needs something a bit more modern looking.

I just bought the ct meg, j. I have the Cblast flash, I intend to run it on a dyno to see the base line after I install the pipes. So I can/will give you a solid report on how it reacts to a full system very similar to what you have in mind.

In theory it should be just fine. But like anything, there is always room for individual improvement but with this it should be so minuscule it's not worth the extra money to for a PCV or a separate dyno tuned flash. This flash will be perfect. That's why I will dyno mine afterword to prove the theory.

What Corny said sir! :))
J- you will be good to go with just the flash, no need to add fuel with a PC. I am running stock headers and slips. She makes solid power everywhere and the creamy smooth torquey thrust is just addicting.

Flashed this guy! :)))

(I like how Priscilla is always evil in the background:))

Bring it up because it hits J's question, he ran my flash with a bone stock bike for several weeks with no issues. Bike ran fantastic and was sooooooo smooth. He decided to unleash the beast, so I did a full Brock's system install today(customer is always right!), stock with the flash the bike ran exceptionally smooth, felt good! Did the exhaust, wow. What a difference. Sounds like a fuckin nascar, runs like a raped ape. Shazamo.

Let's just say, the cblast flash works fine with a full system. ;)

Soooo... I put Melinda on the dyno today to test out the CBlast flash. And can I say holy fucking shit C! Absolute monster.

Here is the small breakdown.
Stock header and stock air filter with M4 slip-ons (with the quiet cores still in). Full power (obviously) with traction control turned off. Amsoil 1040 with stock oil filter with approx 400 miles on the oil. Light lube on the chain.

The guy who runs the dyno was absolutely stunned at the power this machine makes!

197.3 hp @ 10200 rpm
115.3 ft-lb tq @7600 rpm
Flawless AFR thru the entire range!

Well, I typed out this big long reply, but somehow it got lost. I'll sum it up...

I'm pondering what exhaust to get to go along with your flash.

CT Duals
Alienhead
Muzzy slip-ons (same as yours)

CT duals are awesome, but the price is pretty ridiculous, and I don't see that there's much to gain over the slip-ons other than weight loss.

Alienhead... I totally dig the lean & mean idea behind it, but I am afraid that the noise will wear me out after a while.

Muzzy slip-ons. The old school cans are kind of a hit & miss with me. I like them, but I keep thinking a modern bike like the 14R needs something more up to date. But, I also feel that (along with your flash) they bring plenty of benefits to the table with significantly less cost than the two full systems I'm considering.

I'm torn!

Well J, what it came down to for me at first was cost. I had the same dillema and wanted duals. I found the oval black Muzzy's and fell for em. But it is personal that old school look, I know what you mean. I really like Smats dual megaphones too! I even toyed with the idea of replacing the slips altogether. Then I kept watching and found a great price on the akra header that fits up to the muzzy slips giving me a full system and I'm very happy. I love the sound. But I gotta say, that alienhead or the muzzy M10 sound freakin wicked too. The duals are a little more muted then the 4-1, but they howwwwl when you rev her. Whichever exhaust you choose, ya gotta pick the one that speaks to you personally.

Jtemple.. I went with the m4 retro.drag slips. They are outstanding. Loud, powerful and awesome looking. Just my opinion. Combined with the cbflash... flawless! Price is perfect too. One of the lower prices on the market.

Buy the CT duals used. They come up in the for sale forums often. Clean the pipes up with scotchbrite.

Awesome Matt! Can't wait sir, I will get it turned around same day and don't mind sending it back to ya overnight. If you would like when you send it to me you can include a return shipping label which does streamline things and your down time will be minimum.
