ZX14 seat question
04/20/09 6:45 PM

Has anybody ever used any type of seat cushions on the front and passenger seat? The seat on this thing sucks for long rides. I want a connie seat, but the cowl cant' be used with it I don't think and their pretty expensive. I have looked at quite a few cushions but do not know a lot about them. Any suggestions?

The wife has an airhawk cushion that works great. But they are kinda spendy for what they are.

You can still use the cowling with a Connie seat. Just un-staple the cover and have the back half 'shaved' to the point where the cowling fits.

I just got the modular Sargent seat and it is very comfortable and the fit and finish are top notch. I had a Sargent on my ZRX and loved it too.

Hmmmm... maybe i don't know what i'm missing, or maybe i'm just used to really uncomfotable seats, but i actually found the ZX-14 seat really comfy, I can ride for hours without a problem...

I've got 500 miles on my Spencer-modified stock seat. Best $90 I ever spent on a motorcycle.
