Today, taking the family to the amusement park in Denver, the place was overrun with Harley promotional material, including motorcycle displays, as the park was going to close early for a corporate HD party.

The wife knows I spent about 10K on the 14, and sees a new Sportster sitting there with a price tag of $10,999, and she says "Look, for what you paid, you could have bought a Harley instead!"

That's it, sorry, just had to get that off my chest.

Exactamundo, Hub. I didn't say a damn thing, just changed the subject. She knows a little about motorcycles, and liked the ZRX, but needs some time to understand what the 14 is. Comparing the beast to a Sportster??!!?? Of all things.

Maybe so, but I get a kick out of the wife laughing at harley guys when they brag about their fast bikes. We were cruising through Iowa on the ZX11. Harley pulls out to pass me at about 80 on a 2 lane. He's in full tuck, throttle pinned, looks over at me and smiles. I drop a couple gears and it was like a light switch. He's there, and he's not. When we stopped, the wife just said "Oh my gawd!"
