I've noticed that most non-US ZX14R's have grab bars with pegs attached and fold out luggage hooks under the seat to accommodate tail packs and cargo nets. Not everyone is putting the miles on their bikes a 1/4 mile at time and could make good use of this feature.

I've looked at UK parts diagrams on the 2012 14R's, but cannot find these specific parts, and not even sure the US bikes will accept these parts. I plan on contacting Kawasaki to see if they can give me an answer, but I was wondering if anyone has been down this road and could give me some advise.

If you're intent on fitting them I guess the first thing to do is check if your rear subframe has the mounting points for these parts. You could cross check the part number of the UK spec subframe with the US spec one maybe?

I have them on my UK spec bike and find them invaluable for long haul rides with soft luggage or just throwing a bag on the back for an afternoons ride.

The US bike has all mounting points on the rear frame(I checked mine), but I'm thinking the plastics may be different to accept the luggage mount pieces. I'll see if Kawasaki can give me an answer.

Yes they are, to fit the rear seat cover we have to remove the hooks & the grab handle!

The previous owner put 4 swingarm spools under the rear tail section of my bike.Handy for hooking cargo net etc. I was going to ditch them but they turned out to be pretty useful.

Pegscraper- Thanks for posting the pics! It was exactly what I was wanting to see.

After looking at your pics and comparing them to my US bike the only plastic I will need is the center joiner behind the rear grab bar. Lucky for me MS Black is a regular color. The L & R rear cowls are the same except for the holes for retractable hooks. I will be able to Dremel those out, and touch the edges of the hole with touch up paint if needed.

I called Kawasaki USA and they can't get the parts for me. I will have to find a dealership willing to ship to the USA. I have found the retractable luggage hooks from a wrecked bike, just working out the shipping to the US. Much cheaper than buying the individual pieces from a dealer.
