Woot All DONE!
05/01/13 10:14 AM

I have the beast put back together and took it out for a ride last night. I got all tingly accelerating down the on ramp, and not because I was all giddy... but from the sick a$$ pull!

Oh yeah and I Plasti-dipped my heel guards :)

I get it dyno'd tonight at 6pm! And for no other reason then to be able to say it... I hope I break 200hp.

Looks good, that plasti dip stuff seems to be used for alot of things nowadays, on bikes, especially.

I may give that a whirl on something on my bike to see how I like it.

Does the finish and coating seem to be pretty durable and strong?

Bike looks great!! Can't see your exhaust but if its yoshi slip ons you probably won't hit 200hp unless you have a happy dyno. I have a legit dyno by my house. And it puts out what all or most of the magazines put out for numbers. Stock I hit 185hp and with full brocks and pc5 tune I just hit 201hp. But good luck and dont worry about numbers on a dyno. Its just that. ....numbers. There is a happy dyno about an hour from my house that my old 14 put out 195hp with just exhaust. It was ridiculous. I would love to see what the new 14r would put out on that dyno!!! That why I said it depends on the dyno, and if the guy uses sae or std readings. But you have to let us know when you get home. We'll be waiting!!

ZXMan64, So far I like the plastidip... was easy to put on and the finish is really nice. The pic fails to do it justice. The reason it looks discolored is from the reflections from the Exhaust pipe. The ONLY think I wish I had done differently was to use a nylon washer under the bolt. If you look real close you can see where the plastidip wrinkled a little around the bolt... that made me a sad panda :(

ZX14Racer -- yeah I am not going to cry if I don't hit 200hp but I would be nice to say it is all. It was ridiculous before... now?? its capable of "Ludicrous Speed" :) for all you Space Ball fans out there.

A++ for the spaceballs comment. What am I surrounded by assholes!! So I guess it is yosh slipons??? And I just spray painted my heel guards with a spray paint can from auto zone. Can't remember the brand but 5000 miles later and not a scratch.

wholly bananas Omega, looks fast, is fast and beautiful. Great work my boy. You still find it rides smooth or is she like riding a wild bore?

Oh yeah.. still smooth until you twist it... I comes on hard but part was the map, and the rest... well everything else I did.

I can tell you the dyno guy was a little freaked out about how lean it was...and lean all over the place. He corrected it and I could tell just by the smell it was running better. The numbers just prove it :) Here is a pic of my dyno.

Great numbers!! But i really wish people would dyno it stock first, that drives me nutzzzzzz!! The dyno is really just a tool so you can see your progress. But like most they only get it done at the end to see a number. Now you'll never know if it had anything to do with the exhaust or just a happy dyno. Most of the time slip ons dont do anything but add a lil noise, and lose a lil weight. Not for me(i have a full brocks system) but it would have really helped other people here to see you use the dyno first to report back to someone on the fence about full vs. slip on exhaust to see how much you gain with just slip ons. Because it always feels faster with an exhaust just because your hearing an more aggresive exhaust note. OOOHHHH WELL!!!! Again good numbers, glad your happy with it.

I really wanted to do it before and after but I couldn't wait to start adding my new parts as soon as I could... and it was COLD outside when I started LOL. Best time to do it.

At any rate, if anyone is interested in what Yosh R-77s and Akra headers sound like, I posed it on youtube, just the 1st pull. I am a Virtualization Engineer by trade (read Computer Geek) so was I checking everything out while he did the rest.

Funny thing, he did like 6 extra pulls because he was so impressed by a "stock" bike (aka no turbo etc...) and he even put it on low power and did some pulls and told me that in LOW it has more power then his friend 07 busa. I know there are yes there but in LOW?

Anyway here is the link

Well how much power did she make in low setting???? And just as important how much did the gen1 busa make, because going by the numbers on the gen1 busa i can tell you how accurate the dyno is.

Yeah let me know, im interested in both numbers. Like I said if I had the busas numbers we could see where his dyno is at. Also while your asking him ask him what the busa has done......exhaust, stock, slip ons, etc.

With an Akrap header and a reflash does numbers are legit!

So far, highest number I have seen from a ZX-14R (full system only) is Darryle.. 205.3 HP

ZX14racer -- I am waiting to hear back from Brian, the Dyno guy

DragKing -- thanks for the vote of confidence. I REALLY wanted a full system but the only one I liked was Brocks
CT Duals and I just couldn't get over the $2100 price tag... and I really really wanted them. Maybe if
I were going to the track all the time I could have maybe justified it. And Brocks is only a few miles
down the road from me... made it really hard to just not walk in when I get my ECU flashed and hand him
my CC for more. But if I had I wouldn't have gotten any other goodies and would have had to cancel my
week long trip to Tennessee in June. I cannot wait to get this thing on the Dragon and the Cherohala

Ok, I heard from my guy. My bike in low pulled 155 and the stock busa pulled 150, no mods.
