Is that painted hills in Death Valley? I think you are correct. I think it needs something colorful reflecting off the paint. I got plenty of time to practice.

IMO is looks good in monochromic as well. What you wanna avoid is direct sun light. So park under a tree etc, if it looks under expose you can use a reflector to bounce a little more light in! Great pics by the way, especially the one with shadows!

* Look at the third picture. The right side of the bike (if you seating on it)looks perfectly expose because it is in the shade, the front is a tad over exposed in my opinion. I have a reflector and screen to filter light etc but I'm just too lazy to figure it out!

Well Black is the best an the fastest color out there so read about it if you haven't heard!! an with that being said I love the photos I mite have to use one for my phone screen saver!

lower yourself when you are taking the pictures, try to get the camera to the same high of the tank and make sure you have a colorful background that helps a lot... you bike looks nice ;)
