Noise level has increased a bit.
I guess would depend on the cans you have.
I have r77 Yoshi cans.
I also have the inserts for them if I wanted it quieter.

you could buy my headers when my akra headers arrive and have both stock and cat removed I guess.

I like the idea of a set of Ceramic Coated Headers.
To keep the radiant heat off the back of the radiator.
I ride Metro Every day and it gets warm sitting still or at low speed.
One of the boys here has done it to his Akra Headers.

Ran the bike again before Christmas for a PB.
10.36 @ 140 with a 1.89 60.
ran all day 10.50's going rounds then pb'd in the semi finals knocking me out.

Day went like this
Qualifying
8.30am rt/.072 60/2.1 et/10.836 mph/139.03
10.09am rt/.116 60/2.1 et/10.622 mph/141.34
12.26pm rt/.569 60/1.9 et/10.416 mph/140.39
Elim 1 dial in 10.50 unchanged
3.04pm rt/.031 60/1.90 et/10.561 mph/116.20 Win
Elim 2
3.50pm rt/.199 60/1.89 et/10.525 mph/112.98 Win
Elim 3
4.48pm rt/.188 60/1.98 et/10.553 mph/138.53 Win Bye
Semi
5.29pm rt/.199 60/1.89 et/10.361 mph/140.55 Lost

I'll try to leave to times here regularly so guys with stock setups can see.
The bike is Strapped at the front and runs lowering links in the rear and a set of M4 Retro Drag slip ons.
On stock S20 Bridgestone's. 55PSI front 30 PSI rear
I ride it from work or home to the track pull the mirrors in and go for it.
I have the Woolich Hack in it that is suppose to eliminate the safety maps.
I have a Brocks Slipper removal kit still to go in.

Bro..... What is up with your 60? How much do you weigh? The reason I ask is because I cut a 9.9 with the bike at stock height with no strap the same day that I bought the thing. Something is bad wrong with this picture and I want to help you figure it out. To give you a comparison I used to run 10.40s on a stock wheelbase CBR600. See what I mean? We have to figure out what's up.

The bike with me suited and a 1/2 tank on the gauge weighs 365 kilos or around 805 pounds.
I think the thing still goes into safe mode on me even though the maps have been over written by the Woolich Hack.
I cant get it to not bog and it has never done anywhere near the mph to half track that others have reported.
I was half tempted to order a US Spec ECU and see what happens.
I have run it both F off and with Trac1 and it does not seem to make a difference.
It has done nearly all the listed runs in F off.
I would like to put a light weight on it and see how it goes with say 30 less kilos.
I would say its ECU interference or clutch bogging it.
I have bought a Brocks slipper eliminator to eliminate that possibility.
Thanks for helping with input...

Strange.

Very strange

I was half tempted to order a US Spec ECU and see what happens.
I've got an idea. Shoot the pages you have off the Wooly in your video/photo site. I pop mine up and match cells to each map. I mean, those are a lot of maps to fire off, but say run a Full N, then a Low 1-6, then the safe mode and I'll see who you brought up, shoot the menu above so we can see what map is up and running? This way, I'd think more the ignition is near euro specIII or whatever the emissions grade is?

I would say its ECU interference or clutch bogging it.

I'd agree with clutch bogging and short shifting?
Don't look at the tach at the leave.
Use the shift light mode. Ignore the tach because you dialed the light in to the r's.
Feed your aggression thru the throttle/clutch combo.
The gas side is the real aggressor. So your feed and yank open need stepping up a notch.
Peak torque is 9,500 rpm. YOu short shift in the vid. You want to compensate the gear ratio change which drops rpm.
The closer to redline, the closer you are to drop onto peak torque upon the next shift and stay there, not slow down to catch up to the peak torque when short shifting, meaning.

I would have my bike back at the dealer if it ran like that though. It's like you are missing 25 horsepower. I have been 129 through the 1/8 and that is about 10 mph from most of your 1/4 mph. Definitely compare what Hub has as far the ECU is concerned. The clutch mod won't make any major changes. It did nothing for my 60' times and I'm not really sure that it did anything anywhere in my timeslip. Still going 1.50-1.52 60's I just have more experience now and do it more consistently. You should still be able to 60 hard even without the bike making peak power. Get out there next track day and solely focus on your 60' and 330'. Let me find a video of me launching hard.

This is a decent launch but ended in a slight wheelie through the 330. That wheelie hurt my chances of an 8 second pass and put me around a 9.14 or so.

Hi, Shane here from the Sunshine Coast Queensland Australia.

I have just stumbled across your post and have taken my '13 14R down the 1/4 twice the first time early December and second early this month.
Not having any previous experience at the strip I watched Ricky Gadsons 8.99 run on youtube many times for a bit of a heads up.
On my first visit I installed lowering links on the rear and set on the middle hole and slid the fronts approx 25mm (1")
up in the clamps.
I also had installed an Area-P 4 into 1 exhaust on the bike off my 1400 Gtr.
Best time from 12 runs was 10.19.

Second visit best run was 9.84.
This time dropped rear to the lowest setting, and the front 2", removed cat from exhaust and ran straight out of headers through 12" extensions.
Some of my runs on the second visit I felt as though the clutch was slipping at least halfway down the strip however someone on the start reckons it was wheel spin. And on other runs front was just off the ground a good way down the track.

Interested to hear how you go with your times 1400r, but as Maverick mentioned going strong of the start is where the best times come from and I know this is where I need to improve.
I also do clutch less shifts but I guess that is the norm?

Cheers fellas,
Shane.

I weigh 90kg (198) with leathers and I'm not sure what the bike less mufflers weighs?

Sorry Mav.
Missed this one.
Fly's are in but open at idle.
I fitted the Brocks Slipper Mod and a Stock 003 Shinko Rear.
Its starting to go in right direction and launches heaps better with out the Slipper.

Focus on that 60' and 330'. Nothing else matters until you can get those down.

Thanks Mav,
The bike is Stock with a Slipper Removal Kit and lowered.
What should I be aiming for.
What do you think a stocker is capable of with just a Clutch Mod.?
Cheers

I went low .20s just strapped and lowered. Everyone's riding ability is different. You honestly just need to work on your short times. If you truly focus on lowering your 330' time I promise that you will see results. I was going 4.0 through the 330' when I was in the 20s. Make the hit and carry that momentum smoothly down the track. Imagine if you were to quickly accelerate a glass of water with your hand. If you lunge forward and then slow a bit the water will transfer forward and make a mess. Now imagine if you were able to do that and maintain that initial burst of energy. The water will remain at the back of the glass and not a drop will drip. You will only learn by pushing the limits of what you currently know. Go beyond what you are currently doing. Your mind is limiting your performance by retaining those parameters that are logged as "repeatable". Trash that file and smash through those boundaries. Discover what can only be learned by experiencing it. Let the bike scare you. Make yourself function in "survival" mode. Senses are heightened and decisions are instant. I honestly can't quite remember EXACTLY what my clutch and throttle are doing through the 330' on each pass. It's a primal type of "GUT INSTINCT" riding that I love so much. This bike at stock wheelbase is enough to test the most talented riders on the planet. Don't get discouraged my friend. Get DETERMINED.
