No, you can do better. The riding season's about over, dealers will be getting desperate in another month or so. Don't pay more than $13k OTD. Look at the ones for sale on here first. Plastics can be changed down the road relatively cheaply too...

13800 + tax in Nevada. None of the dealers in Las Vegas had one in stock, but a dealership in Pahrump (70 miles away) had one on order just to fill their showroom. Two weeks later it was mine.

I paid 14,200 for my red 2013 total out the door. i know its not the "best deal" but i didnt have the drive to bargain for much more. Iam happy with it and that is all that matters.

Gonna pay a tad more for ABS guys.2013's are ABS equipped. How you like that new ABS Rocketman?BTW...I think you got a decent deal at 14,500 for the 2013.We all know the new price is somewhat LOWER....but it's real hard to get any dealer to pop down to that price.

well thats something iam not sure about, the ABS system is it on EVERY 2013??? to me atlooks VERY complicated to work
on and i gave it a half hearted look for the ABS stuff but i didnt find it. i didnt look hard at it .

i feel challenged to put a air filter on it. i have been riding for 35 years but i have NEVER ridden anything like this. 70mph roll-on is very impressive! i have rode 380 miles total so i am just learning what it wants, difficult for me to hang-on!!!!

anyways back to prices, i went to several dealers and mine was tagged at 14,999 + TTL so they wanted around 15,5000.

i paid 14,200.00 because i wanted the red & it was a 2013. anyways i knew what they were going for in my area and went ahead and payed the 14,200.00 out the door. another dealer, the lest expensive was a 2012 Black at 13,777.00 total out the door. nobody had a 2013, i only saw the red one at a dealer i bought from.

That ABS just might save yer skin....hopefully you won't have to find out.Have the same thing on mine(when it gets here).I think if I'd had abs...I would have had a much better chance of not wrecking this last time.Seriously.Rider error...most definitely...but being able to use the brakes 'to drop some speed' without having any lockup....just may have been enough to keep it in one piece.Oh well....can't go back now.Be safe Bro....she's a bad bird..as you know.

@Rocketman:

At that price point, and from your brief look-see/ description, I'd say you got a non-ABS model.

It'll have the sticker right there on the front fender under the KTRC lettering.Kawasaki's very proud of their tech;)

That's why I said I thought he was gettin a good deal....ABS and KTRC models are goin for 15 something this next go round.

Take a deep breath an pull the TRIGGER!!

That color is even better then Black I myself would have a hard time choosing between the two. I think this color is going to be in-between the 2008 ZX-14 an I believe it was the 2009 Connie that metal flake looks sick!!

I have an SE ABS Black/Green on order and here in California the cheapest price I can find is through Costco Auto program.
It's about $1200 off with no Dealer fee and 20% off any accessories at the time or purchase plus a $250 Costco gift card.

Now I must wait.

I would have got ordered a Green W/ABS if available but only White, Red, and black 'Monster" color so black it is.
