The True Preset is;

154 N-m
114 ft. lbs.
190 PS
140.0 kw

The last number I heard was 113.5 ft. lbs. If this person holds true to his word, never messed with the cam timing, claims it's bone stock; I could care less what pipe lets out the faster event. We are talking WOT numbers in 4th gear.

That torque number is as good as a HP number you find the converter and that formula to find out the HP.

Hub, he asked for rear wheel horsepower.

A unit of horsepower is equal to 550 foot-pounds per second (745.7 watts).

So per Hub the horsepower is 187.74 give or take a little

The reason that I was asking, is that I never knew what it was. Now I have a Brocks Gen 3 full exhaust system PCV, flies out dyno tuned, they are telling me 188 at rear wheel, 160 torque. Dose this sounds right?

Torque is WAY too high! Possible on the hp though.

Bone stock with approx 5000 miles on it, in 4th gear, mine pulled 166 at the rear wheel. Brocks claims the CT single makes 186HP @10200RPM & 110 ft/lbs torque @~7800RPM.

All I know is, with Brock's street/strip map and ceramic coated CT-Dual exhaust system, when I twist the throttle hard, you'd think all the banshees from Hell had been let loose upon the earth!

Edge? You have a front wheel and a rear wheel. So my horsepower is measured at the rear wheel. No?

I get it though, pulling a wheelie or a stoppie......

Mine is running so darn good it should be a crime. She will pull from 1st to 6th and well over 100 in nothing flat just as smooth as could be. She is too refined to move from 0 to 100 and back to 0 in under 8 seconds. But she does. I wonder what Gadson could do .... 6 seconds, 5 probably. I'm too beat up to compete.

Which is a problem, no bike that darn fast should get to 140ish so smoothly, because all of a sudden the telephone poles start blurring and corners that used to take "forever" to reach are seconds away, and all you felt getting there was smooth acceleration. Seriously rapid acceleration, but the smoothness makes it seem less than it is.

I still maintain, a good literbike will kill you if you push it beyond your limits, but the ZX14 will kill you before you reach your limits if you aren't paying attention.

Speaking of smoothness, I have noticed a prominent area in first gear where the bike wants to lag or jerk a bit coming off 2Krpms to 3K. Just wondering if this might be a good reason to lock my flies open. :) It's getting a bit old already. I hate to admit it, cue HUB, but I think this is what I get for throwing $250 at a PCV. Maybe I'll unhook it and see if it goes away?

I've got no idea how much power or torque my bog stock standard (cept for a few cosmetic changes)2010 model creates at the rear wheel, but it will power mono out of 3rd and generally when anyone asks me, I just say "shitloads mate, shitloads" I love this machine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MV Agusta claims 201 HP. That says the bmw is over 2. The Agusta is over 2. I keep complaining we shoulda hada 2+2 a log time ago.

Brockiss'is clock read 113.5lbs.tq. If it was 110, I stand corrected like SAE BS who cares.

You have no clue about Smoooooth. You have a hidden smooth and have you yet to sync the puppy properly?

And 'edge the lagger' PEE SEE I told ya! "Hey, my assfactor is dialed in I have an old city-rider-syndrome hidden in the smoothing tuning I need to pocket tow fiffy iffy I only hada thata ass back then I'd be bucksay head."

Hub, you are full of it. No clue about smooth? Most all of the long time forum members know smooth from not smooth.

The ZX14 is darn smooth out of the crate, and careful map tuning can make it even more so.

Until you ride my ZX14, which you never will, your opinion is just another opinion. Not even based on fact. Not tuner knowledge, either.

Just opinion.

Mine is smooth as silk. Thats my opinion, and its the only one that matters.

You ain't getting anywhere with the bs Hub.

I got a smooth bike. You never seen it. So you can't say it ain't. Everyone in the club says it is. I say it is. You can have your opinion though, long as you realize thats all it is.

And that crap about rippin' a new one... I posted my address already, come on over and try. :)

Don't you love that call-out-shit-get-a-lane.

1. How did you tune/sync your throttle body?
a. Using the low-speeds to blend with the center sync screw?
b. Use only the center screw, the bike dialed in perfect as usual.

We will now see where you live and be honestop thinking you got bike tune. UU------D ~~~~~~~ ^^^^^^^^^^^ Oh, yeah! You gonna drive over that and keep it upright?

Not to change the subject when we're all having so much fun but I got a little smoothness story if we've settled the HP debate already...
This last weekend was the Blessing of the Bikes in Baldwin, MI which is a shitty little redneck-fest I have gone to for about 13 or more years now. It's about 2 1/2 hours away from where I live and a good reason to rent a cabin up north for a long weekend and do some ridin and drinkin when we're done. Anyway, I spent last week getting my wife's 04 750 Katana prepped for the trip. It's in great shape and has a very nice Hindle exhaust and would've had a K&N too if it had come in the mail a day earlier. But anyway(again), I had the thing all dialed up and ready so I took it for a ride into town to get some fresh gas and fuel system treatment in her. As I was riding it I noticed all sorts of wacky and nasty vibrations going on and I thought I'm glad I'm not riding this up lol. So we go up north Friday. The wifers is in a great mood and I don't hear anything bad from her but when we get up north it's pretty much rain and drizzling the whole time so she rides on my bike the rest of the week end and her bike sits. Well on the way home she riding her bike again and it's "I think my speedometer is off", "how fast are guys going?!", "my shoulders and wrists hurt from the vibrations", "I think somethings' wrong, it's making a bad vibration noise!", bitch and moan, bitch and moan, and the whole time we have to keep pulling over to wait for her to catch up. By the time her and I got home we weren't talking. lol. Later, she made a comment again about something wrong with the bike and I said," Honey, it's not the bike. You never ride it. It has hardly any use on it for anything to be wrong." I said," you've just gotten used to being on my bike and the smoothness and lack of effort it takes to get up to speed even with two big people on it!""I think it's time to sell your' Katana. You obviously don't like it." "Oh no you don't", she says,"it's just not good for long distances, or the freeway!" I laughed to myself and thought, that's everywhere I go!

Get the old lady to come up and reaDIS:

Hi Shesweetie,

I'd still laundry list him or say... When he's gone? Roll the bike out of the garage so you don't burn up the crib or priv is gonna cry about the 14 getting toasted. Forget the house. We just wanna spank him, not break his heart.

So, grab his manual, open to page 2-15, then CannaTuna your carb'd bike the same way as the FI bike. Who knows how long you had the valves done? Say nothing, but those are being pounded down to all crazy opening/closings levels. This really messes up the smoothing your husband is getting.

Yes, I hate men so you have more patience with their diapers and laundry, they get all wrinkled and you are looking at his drawers; where is that sync tool? Anyway, we have to set those up first. Tell him! Bump-bump-bump-can'touch dis without first knowing the compression after the valves being set.

Oh, tell no one about that 10% window. Say one of your boobsag. Now how would rude that ride; one hung low you go out for chinese. She what I'm saying with his problems let's worry about that bike, not the yrsovain. Look at that list you are throwing at that smooth collar all bunched up you'riding hismooth shirt off.

Already steady so we are on the same page because we are going to tune this one over soon. Show him his laundry list now:

1. Mow the lawn.
2. Take the garbage out.
3. Wear wash I?
4. Set the valves = Finds the 10% window =
5. A tear down! Why keep syn'inn a dud cylinder =
6. A poor idle. If poor idle creeps up the rpm =
7. Don't think like those dummies you can'talk to them say hey, what changed in any rpm are the same numbers. Rightly chew him out =
8. A woman will get a man on the same page... You doing my work for me.
9. Where are we? Compress/10%Rule#2. #1-Valves first To find that 10% bad idle.
10. WOT was so hard about that? Now mimic page 2-15 step for step; you follow that carb idlesooooooooooSeamooth bring the waves hose is to those nip ills or the bike will run sick and not; can I say, now runs, TITS!!

Vibrating BARS 101:

A. Say we have two bar bites on the handle bars /slash\ a GAP(sore arms)or None!
B. Say the bikes have a few clamping ideas onto the top steering stem.
c. Say you have a Honda style. Honda marks a dot or an arrow on their bar clamps or axle clamps.
d. Say for this style, you position the dot/arrows forward.
e. Say you execute a proper torque to the front bolts first.
f. Say you have to clamp the back because the front has a step. The bar will fall because the back is cut down.
g. Say this gives the clapping effect and there is zero gap at [hondasyles] front. Clamp down at the rear = Only single gap at the back is that one style of handle bar clamping.
h. Say the next holding clamp style is an even top clamp. Here is where vibration sets in you have a gap at the Honda front and rear, then have the even clamp all gaped all over the place.
i. Say I had a vib and found the clamps were not evenly gaped at the splits.
j. Say just as easy as that was, that was all I did was take a feeler gauge, set the blades even so the gaps at the bars and at the axle forks were all even up to is more, Suzuki'syle.
K. Say it Killed the Vib!
T. Rye IT Catcher INN the Vib!
