Would you purchase a set of clipon handlebars to replace your OEM bars, if they came with Vibranator tuned rods and heavy bar ends, ready to bolt in, in place of your OEM bars?

Depending on the response, I will be able to get a price and post it.

couple of questions
1. do they clip on the tubes or are they somehow bolted to the trip tree

2.do you need to mod the air ducts to get them on or drop the tree on the tubes to put them on the top

All you have to do is remove the handlebar bolt from inside the handlebar holder, and the entire bar comes lose. You'd have to drop your lever perch off, and the switch pod, too.

When I took mine off, I had to remove the bar holder from the top clamp (two hex head bolts) and put it in a vice, and then heat the bar close to the bar holder, before I could get the bolt that holds the bar on to come lose. I also used red locktite (permanent)when I put that bolt and handlebar back together.

Then you'd just bolt the new bar back onto the handlebar holder, using red loctite, put your lever and pod back on, and repeat for the other side.

The only difference between the two would be the new bar would be hollow and just have a plug on the side that bolts to the holder. The outside end of the bar would appear just to be a weighted bar end, but the Vibranator would be inside the hollow bar.

Bye bye buzziness.

They might be slightly lighter than OEM, but not enough to really matter. Its only a handlebar after all.

I'm thinking this is not worth doing, I'd need at least 20 prepaid orders to make it worth even thinking about, and you are looking at a couple hundred dollars, too (not sure right now of exact amount).

I'm going to do the same thing if I get a C14, except the holes drilled in the bar to anchor the pod and lever perch (etc.) are in slighly different places.

big, maybe I didn't explain it above well enough. You cannot put Vibranator tuned rods in an OEM bar because it is solid, I think. Or at least, you'd have to bore the outside end.

Knee, I'm not going to bother to develop a price unless it looks like about 20 people are serious. Like I wrote, above, its going to be a couple hundred bucks.

You can estimate it, fiche the bar and add cost of Vibranator ($100 @ Quantity 20), plus machine time at $120 / hour. So somewhere around $300, at least.

For that, you get a left and a right bar, made out of aluminum tubing, that comes with the Vibranator's (not installed, you have to put your grips on - and throttle sleeve on the right), and the threaded plug welded in, ready to bolt into the bar holders.

Right Priv'

I didn't think you were offering this with the OEMs otherwise why bother - too much work/cost prohibitive... I was just wondering if you were using just the bar ends or the tuned insert that they offer - but thanks question answered...

Just that you cannot put them in the OEM bars, there is no way to do it without boring them on an engine lath with a boring bar, which would be far more expensive than making a new bar from scratch.

I'm going to do it for my 2012 C14, for sure. And a couple other things.
