2012 National Rally (COG) ....

I just found someone who wants to share a motel room I have reserved a day out on the way there, which will give me $33 bucks I didn't expect, and also the first night in rally central (a Best Western) on Sunday night which will also save me some bucks. He can't check in until Monday night because he waited too long to make a reservation.

So I've got someone to ride the last day into Eureka Springs with. Will probably have some to ride the first day back with, but I doubt they'll stop when I do for the evening. I'm only going to ride 6ish hours a day, no use beating myself up just to get somewhere.

Besides, with stopping almost every hour for water and gasoline, that makes an 8 hour day on the road. Thats enough.

Here is something fun to do. Go to www.google.com and select MAPS. Then enter "Push Mountain Rd, Norfork, AR".

Scroll in (zoom) until it goes into earth mode, and you can fly along the actual road.

This is one of the many fantastic motorcycle roads we will ride on in NW Arkansas, and I am slightly jealous. We have great mountain roads in western Maryland and WV etc., but many of these have great sight lines allowing you to push a little harder because you can see the exit.

Not that I push hard. Heh.

Guess it is why they are calling it the "No Bad Roads" rally.
