I just ordered a set of Pilot Road 3 tires about a week ago. I got them shipped to my door in 3 days for $309.00
Just thought I'd let you know. Check out Motosport.com
I think competition accessories was $312.00 or something like that.

Motosport has them now for $310 with free shipping today. Not sure how long the deail will last...
Competition Accessories has them, today at $311 with free shipping....
That deal with Motosport is smoking. But you got to question. What is the date stamp on those tires, from the big online places?
Good prices, but only a little more than Murph, and he sells a ton to Concours Owners Group, and they rave about getting fairly fresh date stamps all the time.

My date stamps are 1811 on the front and 2611 on the rear tire. I got mine from Motosport last week. I just mounted them up.
For those of you who don't know what a date code on a tire is, here is an explanation. My front tire was manufactured in the 18th week of 2011 and my rear tire was manufactured in the 26th week of 2011. The tires are fresh.
Of course, I agree with you Privateer, the tires that you buy online are not always fresh. Old tires, even when new, suck. Fresh tires are much better.

I'd think a date anytime in 2011 would be adequate for most uses.
The PR2s I have on now, I purchased in December 2010 as a combo, with 4510 dates. I let them sit in the box in the garage all winter, and had them put on in early Spring 2011.
I've subsequently put over 5,000 miles on them and they are wearing extremely well, and have performed quite well in terms of traction both dry and wet, and quietness, and feel.

Got mine today.Do you guys know there's an A and B compound on those? The B is a harder compound for the FJR and C14.I think that's why my friend can get over 12,000 miles out of his on his FZ1.Motosport said they only have the A.

Just bought a set of PR3s for the 14 from Motorcycle Superstore for $285 shipped to my door. I had a 10 percent coupon to use from a prior purchase which helped bring the price down further. Hoping these are as good as the PR2s.
