Pavement is slick and cold! depression setting in!!!

Boyz my evening rides are no longer. I froze and the bike slipped around like on ice. I won't say it, but it's coming!

I feel for you Wolf. We're expecting our first snow on Friday, but when living at 9,000ft elevation,
it comes as no surprise. I ride as often as possible in winter, but I always wear handlebar mitts
to keep my hands warm. I much prefer these to winter gloves as they allow the use of thin summer
weight gloves ... year round.

Some days when the local roads are too icy to ride, I trailer the bikes to lower elevation
for a ride. Some winters I keep a bike in storage down in Denver ( 5,500ft) and drive there to ride.
My only concession to winter riding is to slow down due to patches of ice and gravel... Tom

I have two pair of handlebar mitts, and these are the 20 year old lightweight pair. Don't leave home without them !

On a good weather day, a winter ride and ski can be lots of fun !

What's the issue?

This is a long way from my home though - we ride all year round in sunny Queensland, Australia.

You've just earned honorary Colorado citizenship. I reckon you'll need a couple weeks on the Sunshine Coast to recover

For the record, I think the Sprint's a better snow bike

Some of the best riding is in Winter, you usually have the roads to yourself.

Heat and common sense are required...

Kofla, Wicked!!!!

Coke,
I tend to ride with a certain enthusiasm for throttle smash, thus I am careening off corners and drifting like a mad man. If I rode like a "pussy" I'd have no problems.

Wimp and Green 14 do not go together. Last time I rode in snow it was on a newly purchased 2010 Harley Road King. That was in Kelowna BC. Was mad fun!!!

Yep. No more hard cornering unlessI am lucky to get a hot mid day ride in.\\

FDon't trust the cool damp morning pavement.

This still a great time of year to do a high speed run as far as I'm concerned.

Also a good time to change oil and put her away for winter
