PCv Install Assistance 2012 14r

OK I the HUGE gray connector on and the rest of the harness pushed through to the other side ... how the h3ll do I get that black and yellow cable connector off to plug in the other side??

I watched their video for the install and they conveniently skipped that part... I know why now.

I took a hook tool...reached in from the right hand side with the sidecover off....gently pulled it through...I first taped the longish wire to a long screwdriver and sent that on through behind the throttlbodies. The wire going to the connector on the factory loom...it won't come all the way out into the open...you pull on it firmly but gently making sure you're not yanking it against anything so as to not crack any wiring in there.Pull it out to the right as far as you can...the factory tape will stop it...then you carefully take a long thin screwdriver and pop the plug loose while holding the plug itself with you fingertips OR a dowel or something wedged in back of it to keep it facing you.Kinda tricky...but it'll pop loose...then hold the plug(the factory one)and manipulate the connector on the PCV to go on into it...snap together...that's it.

You can pull with that tape on there....just go slow when pulling so ya don't damage the pin connections inside the plug.If you need to...you CAN cut a bit of the tape back.....just be careful. You probably won't be able to get a full grasp on the connector you're plugging in...just line it up how it will go..holding by the wiring going into it,and push on the plastic plug with a screwdriver. It'll click into place. You MIGHT be able to get your fingers around and kinda behind that harness plug...if so...good...forget the dowel thing.

That grommet's GOT to be there somewhere!;)They roll and bounce away pretty good...I can vouch for that.Glad you got er hooked up and installed okay;)Maybe take a flashlite and look down in the belly fairing area...along the side case there...it may be sitting right in there someplace.

yeah I have my plastics off again and still didn't see it. Looked in the engine and everywhere. I am afraid that it fell out and I didn't notice (obviously) before I started my ZTR and it got blown out of the garage? That's the only thing I can think of. My bike has been stands for 3 weeks and hasn't moved.

I am getting ready to change the oil, the absolute last thing I have to do before getting her dyno'd and mapped on Wednesday... providing the dealer comes thru as promised and the part gets here by Tuesday.

I am hoping for a miracle and it presents itself while I am laying on the floor... again :)
