Try try again...

Well, since I got ZERO response on the General site, I'll try here. I want to know how anybody who put on a touring or Double Bubble screen likes it. I am 6'3" and am wondering if a taller shield will just throw a lot of turbulence at my melon. So help me out here fellahs. Don't leave me swinging in the wind.

Devil,

I have one on order. Supposed to be here on Fri. I'll run it around Sat and let you know how it works out. BTW I'm 6'5" so I fully understand how the draft seems to be one endless smack in the chops! To add to the bobblehead image, its been super windy here the last week or so!

there's a guy here called blue07, he has the worlds biggest collection of screens for a zx14, tried them all he's about 6ft2' or taller, considered one of the worlds foremost authority's on the subject.

send him a PM, he's a good bloke too, and will bring you up to speed pretty quick.

G'day im only 5'7" an luv my MRA dbbl/bbl screen,my good mate goody is 6'1" and really is impressed with the wind protection differance from the OEM screen was he has rode it long distance in the open with high wind and said it's great for that plus he thinks it looks better on it.

Six-foot-three here as well.

Had some helmet buffetting with the stock screen, the handlebar risers made it worse.

Installed a MRA Touring windcreen and the buffeting is gone.

Thanks you all. Sportsman, that's a real nice looking set up. I have soft bags but if I was rich-er I would get those Corbin bags. They look really nice. I don't have buffeting with my stock shield , just thinking of reducing the pressure on my noggin during high speed hijinks.

Mad....you'll reduce significantly your high speed head bashes IF you'll slide back "just a tad" in the saddle and get yer noggin down below or right at (your eyes)the stock screen lip. That dip in the tank cover was put there so's you could get yer chin down low at "higher" speeds! That stock screen really is hard to beat once you figure out how to place yer head and at what speeds to do it.I just slide back a bit, rest my chest on the tank, and get my chin almost sitting in that dip.PERFECTO!NO BLAST at all.Plus it's REALLY comfortable!!!!!The screen becomes....."the gunsight"..... Even thought about pinstriping some itsy bitsy target points(cross-hairs) on there!SHWEET!(on the inside that is).Don't mind me...I'm a friggin LOONY TUNE.

I swear Bean...yer baby looks better everytime I see it!Really nice Bro.That Green beast....nice...very nice!

Devil...

Finally got out and put some miles behind the ZG Double Bubble. I can't say enough about this thing! As a tall rider( 6'5"), I was always having my noggin blown about unless tucked in behind the stocker. As I don't care to ride perpetually in a race tuck, the DB made sense. Its worth it's weight in gold, my friend! I can sit in a moderate position for hours and feel only a fraction of the lateral, anterior, and posterior movement. Buy one! you'll be glad you did!

I've got the Puig DB on order, hopefully I'll be as happy with that as you are with yours. Always good when a purchase works for you :)

IMO - Stocker is pretty windy on the highway unless you are REALLY tucked in, ZG Double Bubble is better at speed and a good compromise between city and highway, MRA touring is really comfy at all speeds and makes 130+ km/h on the highway seem slow. They all look just fine to me as well but some don't like the look of the touring screens.
