Take the handle bar mount, with a hacksaw cut off the excess 1" below the ball.drill and tap a 1/4 20 thread into the base, buy apiece of 1/2" aluminun rod 1 foot long and some 1/2"idx5/8"od poly vynal tubing.Drill and tap the rod 1/4 20.Get a 1/4 20x2" stud,2 3/4 rubber washers and a metal flat washer..Thread together.rod ,rubber washer, steel washer, rubber washer, ram ball ,slide vynal tubing over rod and fit into steering head. A bit of silicone will stop the tubing fron rotating on the rod.Ihave used this set-up on the 14 for over 20,000 km .Costs under 10.00 plus two beer
(Loc-tite when happy with results)

The security screw on the 550 is a PIA to remove at night, change it out for a 2mmx8mm ss allen cap screw.Keep a 1.5mm allen key in your wallet. You will thank me
