Just once....the mighty 14R is big and bad...able?No...I don't think so...but I'd LOVE to try...just once;)...no..I....won't...only because of other drivers...but my God...it is fearsome...isn't it;)The risk...very...the rush...most glorious!

No, LOL, it isn't.
For any number of reasons and, of course, you know that.
But at half the speeds and half the skills you can get the same "edge of disaster" adrenaline rush on the street.
You have traffic to dodge after all, possibly both oncoming and ongoing; not to mention manned and unmanned objects intruding from the roadside at any time!
If you have an expressway available or better yet a multi-lane toll road; well then ........Its Carnivale' time!!!
Simulate the narrow streets of the Isle by racing down and in between the rows of semi-trailer traffic; moving canyons they are...yep,yep.
If you really get bored; you can always take a clover leaf exit array to "the limit", circle it and get back on the road to "run her out" on the top end. If it is older system then you got uneven terrain, changing radius curves, broken surfaces; complete this time of year with ice heaves that are just settling back (easy to get air borne over these).
Ultimately, if you attract enough attention and you will get your own helicopter film crew on site and you will be joined by "fellow racers" (equipped with flashing colored lights and strobes) all just trying to keep you in sight and be the first ones there at the "tragic" (there is an over used and misapplied descriptor) denouement!
You don't even need special race equipment for these kind of thrills; the difference would they make in "tragic" event is debatable under these conditions. But of course, you will need the full leathers and race helmet , etc for profiling and posing.
I say; "GO FOR IT!"
Or......you could spend the necessary funds, make the necessary preparations, spare the general public from being unknowing co-conspirators and seek "enlightenment" and adrenaline highs with a group of like minded club members by renting a track for a day or a few days! Hmmmmmmm, where have I heard that suggestion before?

I have to say, Don't do it with easily recognizable riding gear. I like basic black. :)) stay poised, balls of feet, look wayyy ahead, anticipation but not pre-ignition if ya know what I mean.

Some of that first video reminds me of the roads out there in CO, SE of Denver, over the Grand Mesa(?)area.
That was a fun ride, even with some Yahoo in a hot rod truck trying to push/catch me. Or maybe that was just part of the fun.........yeah, that's it.
Do you know the area I mean?
I wonder how long it takes to get the hang of riding not he left, though?

So glad you guys are 'into this'...friggin forks STILL not here.Went and bought me some seals for my baby...couple of days...should get here...this 'no riding' is killin me...weather's SOOOO sweet right now...geez!GOD I miss riding...
