Agreed, although it is a day to be thankful to those who have sacrificed so much, and in that way, I suppose the expression "Happy Memorial Day" isn't entirely misplaced.

We can, and should, be happy because of the sacrifices that millions have made. That's why those that have made the sacrifice, made it: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

If there's anything to have disdain over, it is the lack of appreciation by so many in our society today who do not appreciate this country, and those that have sacrificed, and are entirely unwilling to sacrifice anything in their own lives. Fortunately that I can tell here, I don't really have to explain any of that to anyone likely reading this.
