A Quick trip with MadDevil
05/29/16 4:33 PM

Mad took me to a quick ride today. I met up with Mad on his KingKaw and George on Golden Triumph 675 at MacDonald in Morgan Hill.

From there we took Hwy101 to Gilroy and then Hwy 25 to Hollister. In Hollister, Mad took us to a back road that was connected to Hwy 25.

We expected hot weather but it was rather chilly morning with cloudy sky. By the time we arrived at King City, Sun started coming out and warming up a bit. We had lunch as Tacos La Potranca De Jalisco in King City. The restaurant was pretty good for Tacos and Brritos. On the way home we took the same route except in Gilroy we took 152 west. Due to construction, the street signs were not properly posted. As a result we rode inside the city area for a while.

We finally found Hwy 152 west and rode into G8 from there. By the time we approached Uvas Reservoir, the weather was nice and warm. George took a picture of Mad and me but for some reasons nothing was recorded. Too bad G8 took us to Hwy 85 and we headed home in different directions from there.

Total mileage was 252.3miles with an average gas mile of 42mpg. Thank you, Mad, for inviting me to the ride. I enjoyed it. See you around!!

It was awesome riding with Jay. George is my regular riding buddy. The only thing HE lacks is a...
Ahem...proper bike.
We found some narrow bumpy roads but they were short. Hwy 25 is a gem. Cool air, blue skies and the
three of us swooping the bends. Don't listen to "Oldman's" claims that he's slow. Very smooth, very
proficient. Always in the proper position. Hopefully we'll some more rides together.

Hi Chrly, "Is that a Contour camera you are using?" No actually the shot from behind Mad was using a regular digital camera. The signal was pretty long and I had enough time to pull my camera out of pocket and took the shot.

Mad, thank you for your kind word, but I almost fucked up today. I went into the corner too fast and rode off the pavement momentarily. Thank God, there wan't a ditch or anything bad there. With 40+ years of riding experience, I still make mistakes Anyway, it is good to have riding buddies in a similar age group.

It is great to see people having a good time and enjoying themselves! Thanks for sharing the pics!

Our Memorial Day weekend here is ruined with the stupid tropical depression Bonnie!
