Thanks Skewed, it is forecast to be a high of 46 F here today, going to go out and do a short ride on each to recharge batteries and stir up the oil.

I would so ride a dry 46F on some good roads and understood conditions. Well anyway I used to hahaha. My bike under a blanket. Enjoy!

14 F here in Dallas overnight, rode all of the bikes on Saturday, got up to 70 F for a few hours and then the cold front rolled in.

Back in 2010, I layered up and rode to 10,000+ feet on Christmas Day.
I was the only motorcycle on the highway.
Then, Denver had a late Snowstorm in May 2013 and I rode right into more cold weather.

You must be half Polar Bear, I'm afraid I'm a light weight when it comes to cold, 46 F is my cutoff point, about 55 F for any aggressive riding.

in freezing NorCal, I am still riding. I rode to work yesterday and today. Temperature in the morning (I leave my house around 6:30am) was 31 and almost everything was frosted outside. My only issue is my hands. I use dual gloves (thin but thermal liner underneath the winter gloves) but still my fingers became numb after 25 minutes. I need to install heated grips but too lazy (my garage is too cold). It seems this winter is colder than previous few years or am I getting old?

You're not that old "Old Man". I rode in to work OT both days this past weekend. Left the house at 5 am. Saturday my fingers were frigid, even with my electric vest on. Sunday I wore my electric gloves, but was too lazy to actually run the wires down my sleeves and plug them in so....my fingers were frigid again. But I can't snivel. My son rode up from San Luis Obispo on Hwy 25 and 101 on Sunday. Said his fingers were freezing by King City. I sneered at him and asked him if he wished he had an electric vest...( I got him one for X mas... heh heh...)

Vetter invented "Hippo Hands" glove inserts back in the 1970's. A company in Canada still makes their own brand.
I always wonder what riders do for their Heads? That thin plastic face shield doesn't keep you warm at speed.

61 F forecast here in Dallas for the high today, going to try and get out there and get some riding in, it's going to feel like a heat wave after 14 F a few days ago..... but that's Texas for you, you never know what to expect.

That said, I returned last night from a week long job in Detroit where the highest temp I saw was about 22, and the lowest on my Nissan Titan's display was -5. On day 1 the first step outside the truck I took was at a flat field east of Toledo along the south side of Lake Erie ... 5 deg out but the wind was howling. Found out later it was 5 out but wind chill put it at -19. That hurt.

So I do feel for y'all.

Now they're saying 64 F and partly sunny this afternoon but it's pretty cloudy and 57 F right now.

Beautiful ride this afternoon on the old ZX-10R, 61 F and sunny, did kinda feel like a heat wave..

yeah we have a heat wave too. The temp rose 50 degrees. ...to 30 above 0.
