Probably easier to just put a set of slips on it. I was considering that at one time, but the custom fab work (I think was required) needed to mate the mufflers to the mid pipe wasn't going to be worth it.

I don't honestly remember seeing an exact thread on it, at least not here. It might be just as simple as using a tubing expander to open up the older pipes to fit. Cant remember what I read 2+ years ago, lol.

IMHO Keep an eye out for some carbon black series two bro's slips. they will be lighter, and free up some hp.

BTW, I LOVE the Angel GT tires, but didn't go with the 55's. I think I will do that next time, whats your opinion on them?

I'd still like to know what's involved to get it done if anyone knows.

Second move after removing the fairing was to install a set of '08 14 headers on the bike. I swap back to the R headers and they pop right on. I make one more attempt and I was not about to load the pipe to force it to fit I aborted that move.

If you are say a gen1 hooks up to a gen2, new one on me.

Notice how merc made a gen1 fit a gen2... "I went out to the shop and started chopping, bending, and fabricating and I got them on."

Gen1 fits gen1 only as does gen1 needs to be fab'd to fit a gen2 head.

Too bad we can't install Gen1 slip-on on Gen2. Slip-ons are very expensive and no used ones (yet). I contacted Danmoto in China but they have no plans to make one for Gen 2. I guess my only option is Delkevic. I used it before and i liked it but still bit more than my budget. With the new law in California, I don't want to spend $$$ on slip-on as I may have to put the OEM back anytime LEO pulls me over.

You actually can. You just have to enlarge the mid pipe opening to fit gen2 headers. Or have different diameter mid pipes made to fit headers. Now as far as power idk what you may gain or lose. .

Ill may have a set of brocks alien head slipons for sale for a gen2 in a couple of weeks. Bike im looking at has a full system on it already. If anyone is interested im open to offers. I did sell my 2 brothers slipons to a guy with an 08 zx4. He got them to fit. Ill contact him and see what he had to do to get them to fit. Don't think it ws much work tho. He's just came on this site maybe he'll chime in

I think Brocks pipes are made by Hindel. Don't quote me.

The Brocks Alienhead, gen 4, street meg, and short meg made by Hindle built to Brock's spect

The CT titanium series exhausts are manufactured by Nojima Japan I believe....

The Alien Head 2 is a larger diameter piping than the original Alien Head, now like the CT series in diameter...
