Around here you do not mess with the Hardley crew. Many Hells Angels reside or pass though this area.
I slowly passed one in the fast lane recently ..barely crept by him and then pulled into the fast lane several cars ahead of him and then stopped for a light.
The light changed and as I was about to pull out, the HD guy who had run up on me by lane splitting came around the front of my 14- nearly hitting me- and then immediatly slowed to a near crawl.
His actions could have really messed me up and caused an accident ..but I recoverred and hit stage two and made the "gentleman " a wee speck in my mirrors.

Maybe 1 in 100 HDs around here refuse to wave. I don't care, I'll keep waving anyway.

I don't know, I think there are a**holes in any group of people you can think of... Some people might think one or two of us are a**holes... :)

I've been treated w/ respect and waved at by all sorts including HD and other riders.

The first time I saw HD riders for "real" I was on a cross country trip - barely 18 and totally alone: I saw a "herd" of HD riders coming the opposite direction on the freeway. I was a little nervous and didn't initiate, but I got a wave from most of them.

I have to confess though, I sometimes don't wave when I see another bike - mostly when I'm struggling to hold on to this beast!

I *do* know riders that think you're sh*t if you don't ride what they ride but they don't tend to be the most knowlegeable of riders. They're really not worth my attention once I realize who they are.

I can't say I've ever noticed the rider that will put you and them at risk to attempt to prove a point; but I have been cut off in my RX-8 by SUV drivers - maybe it's the same kind of thing.

I wave to virtually EVERY rider.I only stop(momentarily)when I've been "dissed"by a cruiser or two in a row.Then I say-"well sc%^& you too pal".(to myself). I soon get over it and continue to wave(though it's not yer classic"low wave"thing-it's more like"I salute you fellow rider"-kind of a mix of wave and salute).I never do the low wave thing.So if ya see a guy on a Gorgeous Blue 14 comin at ya with a high hand salute-you'll know it's me!!!

Tell ya what "riders" never get a wave from me... Scooter riders. That's not a real motorcycle. ;)

Gotta have a clutch and shifter of some sort to get me to wave at ya buddy. Better go change your panties.

A no such thing as a fast Harley period and please no one bring up that 30k non-production drag bike with wheelie bars that barley breaks into the 9s. I love bikes period but it seems more than a few Harley dudes have an elitist attitude. I have a ridding buddy that rode and built custom Harleys for 25 years and was a Chicago Outlaw for 10 of those 25 years. One day he got his life together and sold everything HD related and bought a zx14. According to him he will never ride another Harley period. HD makes a cool bike if you like 65hp 700lb motorcycles that feel like you are ridding a paint mixer. I take it back please bring up Harley drag bikes on this video the 14 rider falls alseep at the light and still spanks the Harley drag bike by a huge margin and carrys 20 mph more through the lights.
