I woke up this morning kinda thinking the same and told my wife that if it does not sell I will be fine. But I really miss the Blackbird (I had 4 of them) and I cannot seem to get used to it. I cannot ride as often as I like due to my back problems so it does not make sense to have 2 bikes. I should probably give it more time...

Not sure what ya mean,'get used to it'.Is it the ergos?Weight?Handling?...I need to ride something I'm totally comfortable with.If you aren't,that's ok.Just a beautiful machine you have...that's a good asking price.Hope all works out.Keep or sell.Either way for ya.I know it's hard deciding.

Sounds like you are done with it. Check these out if you want. Made a very uncomfortable ride very comfortable on my 09 ZX14.

I have tried several windscreens already and a couple seats but something just does not feel right...hard to explain. I owned a lot of different bikes over the last 35+ years and needless to say they are all different, even one of the Birds that had different bars on them. I love the way she looks and don't hate the ride but maybe it will just take a little time, or I'll buy another Bird.

Sounds like yer used to the feel and all of the Bird. You can't constantly work on 'convincing yourself' that it'll be different.I can't anyway. You need to have a feel for yer bike.Sounds like it isn't with this model...that's cool. All good.

I always thought the 14R's pegs are too far forward. It causes a very odd body position imo. I'm short (5-7) and I feel like my knees are about up to my chest. I can't imagine what a 6'+ must feel like on this sthing.

Even on the Cycle Ergo you can see how the Black Bird's pegs are more rearward resulting in more area between the elbows and knees.

It's like the 14R (never sat on a 14...Assume the same) is a mix between 90% supersport bars and standard foot pegs.

On that Cycle Ergo you can compare two bikes. Add the +1 handlebards and -3.25 peg forward offset (pushes pegs rearward). YOu can scroll back and forth between the bikes...basically an identical posture at that point.
