I'm 6'1" and 260 lbs. My wife is around 180. These figures ad up to more than the posted capacity for my new 2014 ZX14R. Are there other heavyweights here and do we have a problem with riding two up?

2014 green/black ZX14R ABS. 1972 Kawasaki H2 Tracy bodied. Reed valves. 2000 Kawasaki ZRX1100. 1977 Kawasaki KZ1000 cafe.

I would a stiffer spring in the back but power wise I don't think it's gonna be a problem, they usually do this calculation by what the rear shock is gonna hold in a "worse case" scenario. It will wear faster the more you ride two up but with a spring change you will be all right, ride on brother!

Full Muzzy, flies out,K&N, black wind screen, pc3, pm wheels, blue led gauges and lights, scorpip alarm, roaring toyz kickstand and lowering links, tinted turn sigs.

Might want to raise the rear tire pressure a little too.

Before your criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you do criticize them, you're a mile away and have their shoes.

My wife weighs 80 lbs nut she will not ride with me): well that's not totally true she rides with me sparingly. I went with a heavy duty shock and more air pressure.

I carried 400 lbs with rider and passenger just fine. Still ran away from a fast car.

Carrying a 100 lb passenger, I don't feel much difference at all in the power compared to just carrying my 200 lbs.

I currently weigh 211(!!! Damn donunts!) My wife weighs 145-ish, ( less-ish dear, i swear!) I put a heavy Race Tech spring on the shock and all is well. The motor doesn't care, it could be dragging an anchor behind it and I doubt I would notice.
