Reason I ask...it IS possible to get the spacers in on the wrong sides. That would put the sprocket around 5mm off(either in or out).Which of course,if you tried a laser or something else...you could get the chain 'straight'...but the hash marks would not be aligned. And they wouldn't align without the chain(sprocket)ending up being angled.
This laser...does it attach to the rear sprocket?I'm guessing it does?
You've ridden it now for some time after the tire changes...how's the sprocket look?Silver wear marks on the inboard or outboard sides?5mm probably wouldn't cause the chain to slip(off) the rear or front sprocket...but it WOULD wear those teeth. You'd definitely see it.
Since you've done everything else to check and adjust this....and it's still not working...I'd check those spacers.I installed mine one time on the wrong sides.I didn't ride it...happened to catch it before that...but it could definitely happen. The front spacers are the same depth...but not the rears.Chapter 10 in the service manual....
The left side collar has a wider flange to it than the right side. You needn't remove anything...just eyeball it or measure the flat(flange width).
