I wanted to share some thoughts about my Romans Flash! The bike now explodes with power and puts power down (the ponies) as I beacon for more. This machine with the flash actually leaps to life as the wrist commands. No lag, no delay, just eyeball crushing G forces that smother the mind. At speed and on the highway she is smooth, but as soon as I reach for throttle for roll ons the bike blisters forward. I never had this kind of power delivery on any bike and in my opinion this is how the bike should have run before Kawi started nutering it. Before I could not keep up with some of my boys around here and the bike would eventually begin to wind up as they disappeared in front. It was no slouch, but now it's reponse and performance is exhilarating. WOW!!! I was always like WTF? Now I understand (unneutered) what this bike can do. I am a believer! The Roman's Flash is immediately noticeable and mind boggeling. No more explosive pops from the exhaust. Just streamline power. What a Goliath! I am just starting to explore this new machine, but you just can't compare it to the stock ecu bike. Romans you da man!

How much, turn around time? Anyone have a stash of ECM's they want to donate so we don't have to stop riding?

I hear Romans ships you a spare ECU if you need. I would overnight it to him. Hey Romes how you handling this. PM Romes dude. The guy is a genius. Not gonna lie, I am very happy!!!!

And that's why I pulled my flies right away when I bought the bike!! Instant unhinged power, don't even have to wait till 2500 rpm's. I like it EVERYWHERE. Even people like lee Pritchard who sells brocks products still has his flies pulled, he and a lot of the 14 guru's over on that other shitty site CRAPLAND,told me to do it right away. What a difference and it's FREE!!

Anyway, i think ya You lose 4hp with em out because of pathway turbulence. Look down those tracts with em in? Smooth! Take em out, couple a ridges. Smooth is fast. Kawasaki engineered it flawless. Gents, I too have the Romans massaged Flash.
It's quite an amazing change. 1st and 2nd become either instant wheelies, or rolling burnouts depending on what you want to do. The bottom end hit of the stock bike is soooooo weak by comparison. Couple this with the Top Speed limiter removal, 500 rpm increase on top and timing advance = a perfect all around package. I'm so keen to get on the dyno, but funds are dry now after losing my shirt on the Bimmer.
I am completely satisfied with the flash. It's the kind of hit you feel right away - even more so than putting on a pipe and pcv in my opinion.
100 % satisfied rider here. If you are on the fence about getting this mod - DON'T!

My '07 has ATRE, flies out, PCIII w/slip-ons map and of course, slip-ons. Will this flash make a difference?

Romans has had every Zx 14 produced. He has by the powers vested from years of performance pursuits developed a flash (perfected I'd say) for the 14r. The man is a wealth to power knowledge. PM him for details...

I'm sure your bike could benefit from some timing advance, as well as top speed limiter removal. I had the flash done on my Gen 1 too, and it was a drastic difference - mind you my flies were in - from what I've read ... flies in makes a few more ponies up top - smoother flow.
Anyways - I know Romans ECU Burn is more aggressive than others. As to all the differences - best bet is to pm him yourself.

Beast had his previous gen flashed by Romans (and some other Harry Manovich goodies) ... that bike Beast was a Balistic Missile!!!
