Tell ya one thing...I won't be wearin 'mid hiegth' 'hiking boots' again....snapped my ankle like a twig I tell ya.Nope...I seriously think had I been wearing my smx5's....I'd have saved my leg.

Thanks for the tips about the riding gear. I see tips for "Bohn" (I assume pants and / or armor), and smx5's some kinda boot.

Where did you guys buy it?

I can attest to that, I always wear at least jeans with Kevlar in the knees, and butt etc ... those things saved me a lot of road rash in a pretty bad accident .......

so true! I today can only bend my r/h leg 89 degrees after two years & yes my boots did stop my ankle snapping too! as the pegs cast bracket & peg was snapped off just before my femur shattered

Personally, Its been 2 years since my 2008SE tried its darnedest to kill me. I ride a duc 1200S touring and beryl (Dads BMW 86 model R65) these days, and you know what? I still yearn for that turbine smoothness the 14 gave me...... awesome. No it wont handle like the Duc, but its not supposed to be a rival for the zx10. That motor..... A gem and now with extra stonk!!

G,day Ozzjohnno bin a while heay so how r ya now mate?,me I got the 14R but to busy to ride her at the moment,tell ya mate that wallaby did me a favour back in march cause it helped me with the MOF in the decision for it,s extra goodies lol
