Making POWER the Right Way!wp
09/19/13 9:06 PM

Hot damn Boys! There is new ecu flash out there that has been made to actually take full of the technology that is already available in our machines!!! I've been riding around for the last couple of days on this new flash! Power Comander is dead. Period. Save the money you were gonna spend on a new power commander and the dyno tune you were gonna have and get the Cblast Flash! The PC and Tuner guy will never get anywhere close to what this flash has accomplished by letting the bike tune itself for you perfectly. Stock exhaust, slipons, all out full exhaust, it don't matter. Elevation does not matter either. The ECU is tuned to compensate for those differences! I am running with stock exhaust and the new power output is ridiculous! Forget about the flies opening early, the power gain there was already expected, it's the new found power at the top end that totally blows me away! All day today I kept hitting 160mph+ unintentionally at times on my normal everyday roads where I would normaly be hitting around 120 or so! So fast so damn fast you don't even realize it until you look down at the gauges. The whole time under hard acceleration up to them speeds the front would just float! Unreal. I about pissed myself a couple of times when I passed cars today. Once I accidentally made the rear tire bark at me and lift the front end in the air in 3rd gear just about sending me into the trunk of the car ahead of me when I ripped the throttle for a quick aggressive pass! I was laughing and screaming like a mad man for the rest of my ride home after that!!! I had to start using a gear higher than I would normally use through corners because she would pull so dang hard I actually got nervous the rear end might break loose on my exits!!! Hahahaha!!! Cblast has really put something together here!!! He talks about how the power feels "creamy" and that is exactly what it feels like!!! It is definitely some that has to be felt and experienced to understand what he is talking about but once you do you'll know exactly what he meant by "Creamy!" I swear every time I took it out for a ride it felt stronger every time!!! Between my modified stock canons and the Cblast Flash I have got to have the sweetest sleeper bike out there! Hahaha they ain't gonna know what hit em! Just a black dot in the mirror that turns into a blur disappearing into the horizon!

Fuck!!!! Thank you so much nasty! Thank you grn! You two got me sittin here in my garage all fuckin teared up lookin at Priscilla. I felt so bad for her, we beat her so hard on the dyno. I kept fuckin talkin to her. Nels asked what I was sayin...
I was apologizing. That's the straight truth. I love her. L O V E my Priscilla. I knew it was gonna take some runs to get everything right. It did. What we saw on the dyno two separate occasions has now born it out. The power that one can deliver mathematically within the ecu is AWESOME. Gas Turbine like in its creamy torque delivery and yet she screams SO FUCKIN HARD TO REDLINE! You two fine gentleman being my first customers feel it too. Thank you. I am so frickin happy! Thank you guys for hearing me. Thank you guys for believing in what was just a buncha #'s to most, but is a passion to me. And when I accepted ur ecu's, I treated them with care and reverence. They are the brains of your machine. Your nasty cruzer, your green missile. You two are my friends. I take all that seriously. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to flash your machines.

Oh, shit you two! JUST FUCKIN WAIT FOR THE PRISCILLA throttle insert. In fourth gear if you slap WOT hard enough at just the right time, she will float that fuckin front end easy nice and hard!!! It is freakin addicting. I gots the first 5 of these things shipping out Monday and
WOLFMAN
NASTY
BOBBY
GRN14
Get those gratis, and the 5th was grabbed by a customer already. Next batch will be ready shortly after. You guys are gonna love that shit. It's kinda scary though. Hahahahahahahah! WOT! Really gotta gear up before attacking most turns hard, or, just put her in TC1 and try not to chop throttle when she breaks loose, you will be rewarded with a nice muscle car type slide that recovers nicely. Try not to fill ur shorts.

I need more info. Im having trouble convincing brocks and guhl that my bike still has its 300kph limiter after their flash. Its running 293kph average speed over a LSR run after 1.5km run off. Gets to 10500 rpm then wont climb at all. I have 11700 indicated rpm to play with.

Only change is Yoshi cans and the flash. I have a brocks map 8 PCV almost at my door that was ordered prior to the speed attempt.

I need more info.

I don't know nor claim to know what anyone else does inside the ecu. My flash is for the gen II 14R. I don't know which model you have. I am assuming a gen II. But Priscilla breaks 200mph with ease. 11200rpm is where I set the rpm limit with the flash. She will flat pull it hard to redline in 6th. Stock gearing. The bike pulls to it so hard and fast that I have had to re-adjust my normal braking markers. Sensory overload fast. With flawless a/f and no need for a pc.

I just ordered and paid for a woolich flash kit so I can do it myself.
Mines 2012 euro version abs and traction control which is the us 2013 but straight black.

Buying the flash kit made sense as it doesn't involve sending my ecu away as last time I had no bike for a month and summers about to start.

http://www.woolichracing.com/Products.aspx?Manufacturer=Kawasaki&Model=ZX14R&Year=2012&#productTable

My PCV is in the country now and I should have it next week. Its Brocks map 8 pump gas drag settings.

My limiter is at 11700 rpm and 10500 rpm is 300 indicated(293 true speed)which is where it stops pulling.
5th gear at 11600 does almost the same speed at the moment.

Assuming the rest of the Brooks flash is ok I should be able to set the limiter to 400kph then use the PCV for tuning.

What I find a mystery is the guhl serial number on my ecu matches a gsxr1000 flash done for brocks.
I now just want to see what I actually have in the ecu for myself.

I am looking forward to your results Grn!!! I was gonna wait until you posted your results before writing up a report but I had so much damn fun yesterday I couldn't keep it to myself anymore! I might try to hit one yet soon if I can find the time! Barely got time to ride anymore.

Hey bud, sometimes you have to trust your senses. If your limiter is in, it's in. If something feels wrong, it probably is. If the wrong sticker is on the thing, I would not be riding it. Care and attention to EVERY DETAIL are the keys to a successful flash. That is the best advice anyone can give.

Toe,
You can blow this puppy up with the limiter pinned to 15,000rpm. The pc is almost a redundancy. What the pc can do, you can match in mappage. However, you would want the pc's '02 stand alone' so you can read your map as if it was on a dyno. That 02 box comes with a 9v battery you plug into so you can have that puppy saved as you walk the box into to the house and the computer there, sans a laptop you just plug in at the bike, etc.

You guys have me curious. I want to know what this flash will do for 1/4 trap speeds. Any of you guys that have this flash actually put these 14s down the track?

The results......

I did not measure torque...didn't want to remove panels to get to the plug wire...but HP is there and A/F and Seconds to get to max.

You can see the conditions were quite different between the two flash runs...almost everything else is the same...a/f....max HP...almost the same.I did replace the Air Filter last night...the Romans run had a 'not very clean' air filter.

The guys said...."you are losing approximately 20% due to altitude"...okay...so if that's the case...potentially,at sea level...my bike with these flashes is laying down right at 200 HP +- a couple.I'm happy...Both flashes are very good...one(C's)will get me there about 2 seconds quicker....not too shabby IMO.I'm fine with these;)You can't lose really with either flash...they're very consistent and strong. Thanks to BOTH of you guys....keep up the great work!;)

TWO weeks ago....Romes Flash...Conditions quite different.

Keep in mind...this is 3000 feet elevation.91 octane Pump fuel...not new spark plugs(8K miles on em).Stock Headers with Yosh slips(dual).Full syn 10/40 Motul oil.Chain lubed and adjusted per manual.TC 'OFF'...power...'F'.

This is why I was having difficulty trying to determine exactly "what" I was feeling 'different' between the two...they are VERY VERY close in ride and performance. The only real difference I could 'feel'...is the time it takes to get to where I wanted to be velocity wise....C takes that area.By 2 seconds...definitely something a guy can feel when hammering up through the gears.I think it's safe to say however...the power output is almost identical...yes?Considering all the variables.

Those have to be SAE #'s. Or it makes no sense grn! At least that's what I see. Just my 2c. But that number is so far off its ridiculous. Those are not even genI numbers. If my flash had turned out that number here I would have just done things different. That is all wrong. There is no way we show a 30+ hp difference with only the differences that are present in our locations. Your number std should print closer to 190 something at least.

Up top...I 'missed' that when I took the pics ...Smoothing was STD 5

"Those are not even genI numbers"...yes...I know....imagine how I felt after seeing these for the initial run two weeks ago;).He said his dyno was the most updated one out there....IDK....I'm not totally positive this gent actually KNOWS how to run this bike up to test anyway....it didn't honestly sound like a dyno run you'd see like on the Brock's site or something...IDK....And my RPMS are limiting at 11.5...checked my redline today while riding....11.5.She did NOT hit redline yesterday when I ran my high speed run...she stopped pulling at 190...right in there....same as two weeks ago.Conditions yesterday were very good for power...She wouldn't get into redline....stopped short of it(11K)190 mph.

Hey!!!! Check your A/F line to confirm that something with dyno setup is hinky. Ur a/f line under my flash should be showing 13.1:1 not 14. To me that says wait a minute, are the correction factors input right??? I don't know grn. Now I'm pissed. That is an incorrect number and anything I say will just sound like sour grapes. But you and I are Rollin the SAME FLASH. There CAN NOT BE A 30+ Hp difference. Does that sound right to you??? Nope. Me either.

No...IDK know what it is....one thing about all the runs...they're consistent....over the weeks time period...and same dyno...that tells me....it's not the flashes.Something is goin on with that dyno...or how that guy is running my bike up when testing.Like you say...if we have the same deal....no way should there be desparities like this between ours...no way.Your a/f line, and Romes a/f line...almost the same...see that? And DOING the same thing pretty much....starting high...then dropping to the 13. something area...so the fuel inputs from the ECU program are good IMO.

I'm not upset with you OR Romes...I'm convinced it's that dyno or operator or both. Not the ECU flash or bike per se.I listened as he ran er up,changing gears an shit....if I didn't know better...it sounded just like you'd shift and all on the street...really quick and hammering the throttle after shifting....it just didn't sound....'right'...like any other runs I've heard on YouTube.

Bro...the bike HAULS ASS...with BOTH flashes. It aint that.Way bigger feeling than the stock ECU settings...WAY.
