Was at my local bike shop the other day and saw this. They recommended using it due to the ethanol in the gas.

I was curious if anybody else is treating their fuel, personal thoughts and products used.

If your not you will be soon. The stuff thats in fuel now is eating the rubber tips wright off the needle valves.
Anything carburetored that sits [ qauds,dirtbikes,boats etc] for more then a week better drain the bowls.
We have installed more carb repair kits the last two seasons then we had previous in ten years.
I haven't seen any problems with fuel injection YET, but it can't be far behind. The tron works by the way.........

I just started using it. Id rather spend a little now than a lot later.

HOLY CRAP! My snowblower has been running like crap for the last 3 years, surging, stumbling, backfiring. Had to keep the choke partially on, and full throttle just to keep it running. I tried just about everything. 3 different style plugs, premium gas, soaking the carb. I saw this thread and ordered a couple bottles (no local stores carry it). I put 1/2 oz. in 2 gallons of 89 octane gas. We got about 8" of snow last night. This morning gassed up the blower and fired it first pull. It even idled with the choke off, and pulled in 5th gear idling. This stuff is fantastic! Thanks guys! I'm using this in everything that uses gas from now on!

Think I may have my detailer at work try it in the pressure washer. It runs like your snow blower did.

Hey guys what is the Octain there ? and do you have a percentage of Ethanol in the fuel in the States, do you allso use 98 Oct with no Ethanol at all

I haven't seen a place in Alabama without 10% ethanol.
We have grades of 87, 89, 91 & 93 at the pump here.

In Oklahoma I had several ethanol free places.

I heard that Shell has gas without ethanol. Just called. They also have up to 10% like everyone else.

No treatments here and no problems. Have run the cars on ethanol gas for 9 years no problems there either.

I have a car dealership here. Ethanol has cost me thousands. Burns hotter and kills cats and 02 sensors. Clogs fuel systems up.

Thats what they said here in OZ it will clean injectors etc and boost your Octain (E10) but the KWAKA book Said "NO Ethanol at all". All we ever used is premium 95-98 Octain,so thanks for replies men, see you can teach an ol dog new tricks

mymonster - I'm in Hazel Green and work in Madison. It just recently turned too cold for me at the moment, but we definitely ought to go riding some time soon. slidderhd is also in Hazel Green and rides an older black '14. He's recovering from an accident last month, but I don't see him turning in his man card any time soon.

Ya hava a good point there mymonster like not putting the additive/in exchange for the 98 OCTAIN ( No ETHANOL )

Heh, I only have to use 89 octane (per Brock himself, specific to my tune / map)so my gas is cheaper, but I'm going to use that treatment starting in the spring when I use up the stabil-treated brew thats in it now for winter storage.

Just ordered some from Amazon, $10 (8 ounces) treats 48 gallons? Shazam ! LOL

Found out Amsoil sells a product which does the same thing, probably for more money though.

Anyway, I put some of the Star*Tron in my '99 chevy, and it actually improved the gas mileage (miles per tank seat of your pants measurement) enough to notice.

Regarding whether you have ethanol in your pump gas, and how much... in the U.S., the decision is made by region, which is sometimes one State, and sometimes several. ALL pump gas coming into those regions has to be formulated the same.

Shell has gas with no ethanol in it, just not in my State. Or the State above, or below, or to the East of me.

I've been using the star-tron treatment for about 6 months on and off now. It's good stuff. I put it in everything from the generator and power washer to the bike and truck.

I've heard ethanol in gas reduces fuel economy. If Star Tron "digests" all of the ethanol, that would reduce the fuel in your tank by 10% (or at least makes it into something that doesn't burn). If you are going farther on 10% less, I'm convinced that stuff is doing something.

I'm going to squeeze Rome's head on dis one and wind him up! Sit back and watch LOL!
