Just wondering, are we going to split up into groups when we ride? 18+/- bikes will be hard to keep together, as everyone has there own comfort level and shouldn't feel pressured to try to keep up or the reverse, guys that like to ride a little faster won't want to wait at every stop sign for others to catch up. Just a thought that's all.
The key to having fun is to ride at your own pace. All that being said If you need to find me I'll be with the hooligans.
Also has anybody made reservation yet? If so where are we staying.

I think we should play that by ear. we can blast anytime, but how often do we get to ride together. I say we just stay as a group, set up a few guidelines and enjoy the company we are with.

AHHHHHH! That stinks Wolfman... is it good surgery atleast?

And I agree that we should stick together as a group while riding. Maybe just have the ones familiar with the roads and area up front.

Hahaha! No break, there is a chap up here who is a notorious tuner, he's assembling my akra heads to link with my Yosh slips. He is doing a wack of performance tune related stuff. I caught him during a busy week and with him ordering odds and ends, its too expensive to button her up and bring it back. So now I am anxiously awaiting it's completion. He might need next week if so it obliterates my plans for Bear. Wish me luck!!!

I'll agree with bikemanusa. I can ride 10 minutes from home to get onto nice twisty roads to play on, but not often do I get to ride with a whack of other 14 brothers and sisters. Looking forward to meeting everyone, checking their rides and swapping stories. That being said, we'll leave it up to the organizers to make the call.

Wolf, sad to hear you might not make the Bear Mountain Run but I am excited reading about the monster getting tuned. Looking forward to the dyno numbers pre and post tuning! Keep us posted.

Dave905,

YES! Bikemanusa, SnuffyZX an I spoke about this already.

Look everybody here knows or should know what this bike can do! This is not the event for that now the ride I was thinking about going there's plenty of places to open it up an quite a bit of scenic roads an Twisties so I believe there will be a little bit for everyone. The bottom line is these are roads that my friends an I go down from time-to-time so we don't need too Aggravate these troopers an small town cops.

By no means is this my event but I love to help out an make this thing happen. I was under the Impression that this was a meet an greet an get a chance to put names with faces, an go for a nice burn with some new an old friends. If this is not what the Majority feels then now is the time to speak up!

Yo Romans had a brilliant idea about moving my akra header project forward, today I see if it expedites the process!!!

In the meantime boyz, the excitement is building. Dave, my dyno numbers will be posted with the charts...Oh Dave, the bike ran 187 hp on the dyno.

So far those numbers represent, one set of Yoshimurah slips (which I know don't really add HP) and an ECU flash. Once the Akra heads go on, and the dyno tune, is dialed into the PC5...I am hoping for a boost in HP. Best outcome, and I am hoping she will make 198 - 200 hp!

I've got her in for some gearing changes too, tires and some other small touches...

Hoping I get this back! ARRRRRRH!

I haven't booked my room yet. The hotel I wanted to stay at shows only single rooms available. I'll have to have a look this weekend when I get a chance. I'll let you know once I do.

My tuner did not show up to work today. I fear the bike will not be ready for Friday. I hope this wait is worth it!
No too impressed!
Thanks Dave!

By the sounds of things Wolf if your bike isn't finished up by Friday you can just drive your car for the meet and greet.
I have been to many group rides and have never seen a group of 20 bikes go together. That's called a parade. I don't think you can even get that many riders through a green light at one time. It's a challenge to keep 5 or 6 bikes together. And I realize it's a meet and greet, but one thing we all have in common is we love to ride motorcycles. To me if the suns out and my bike is there I want to ride it and I like to go at a fairly fast pace, I don't want to stop and take pictures and whatever. If you do that's great, but we probably won't have fun riding together, we'll just meet and greet at lunch, dinner or have some beers at the hotel at the end of the day. Most group rides post the route, and people ride there own ride. There's plenty of time to talk when the riding is done. Oh well that's how I feel and by the sounds of things I'm the only one.

Like I said. We all have our own pace but this is a time to just hang. We will see many great roads together. There will be times we get to open them up here an there. We just can't set the whole day to it. I garuntee hiu won't make it through the day without getting pulled over if that's the only way you Way to ride. The whole point of this is for us to put names with faces and just enjoy the day. Believe me. When I am alone or with my preferred group I tend to break a law or two. Dub! We have ninja 14's. But just for one day let's keep it as a group. And as far as us staying together. It won't be a problem. I was a road capt. For a bike club and many times kept 50-75 bikes together. We will just have to have a few ground rules. Nothing major. Just some road eddicate . Hope to see all of you next week. Sorry if any typos. Using my damn phone again. Lol

Thanks Black1 that's a nice gesture but not needed, its your ride your rules. If you want everyone together then together it is. I rode down to Roscoe today, kept an eye out for you, thought you might be out on a scouting mission.

THE FULL BREAKDOWN!

What: A meet and greet and a great ride!
Where: Bear Mountain, Perkins Memorial Drive, New York 105
When: 9;00am Saturday August 10, 2013
Why: To meet fellow rider an Unite the Nations!
THIS IS A OPEN INVITE TOO ALL MEMBERS AN WHOMEVER ELSE WANTS TO JOIN US IN A DAY OF FUN!!

So this is the breakdown of how it started we talk an talk but hardly ever get a chance to meet so some of our Canadian Brothers said they would come down for a ride an one of our brothers from VA even said he's going to come up an join us for a meet & greet an after some more talk we came up with a date an it's locked in Saturday August 10, 2013.

We are going meet at 9:00 cause I'm sure there will be a lot of talking before kickstands up! Here are some hotels that I think will work for you guys.

Holiday Inn
68 Crystal Run Road
Middletown NY, 10941
Ph:1-845-343-1474

Hampton Inn
20 Crystal Run Road
Middletown NY, 10941
Ph: 1-845-344-3400

Courtyard of Middletown
24 Crystal Run Road
Middletown NY, 10941
Ph: 1-845-

Microtel Inn & Suites
19 Crystal Run Road
Middletown NY, 10941
Ph: 1-845-692-0098

Now you can find hotels closer too Bear Mountain but what will happen is you will get Caught up
in the Woodbury Commons traffic so I was trying to keep you all from that. These hotels are 20 miles 10 mins from the mountain. There are much more places to eat an there's a Kawasaki shop not too far away just in case someone needs something. I'm just trying to cover all the bases for everyone. But if you chose to go else where that's cool too we will make it work! I also have a watering hole for us to go too an have some more time for the meet an greet with Happy Hour Prices!! We will only be an hour, hour 10mins from NYC so if we want we could take a midnight run down there or over to Edgewater/Weehawken NJ.

So it's looking like 18 of us are going to make it, that's cool we are going to have a blast! I'm looking at a nice ride maybe too "Roscoe New York" around the Reservoirs of NYC. Some nice Open back roads curves an all!
