You guys are smokin crack,i have been to the track and PLENTY of street races, and the new 14 wins sorry see it all the time at the track and the street. Hell i have beaten my friend on his bmw 1000r on my new 14 with equal mods and all, with my torque he said i pulled instanly 2 bikes and he said i slowy pulled another 2-3 bikes up top to about 170. You guys are probly heavy guys trying to race lightweights. I weigh 163,so i always kill the 1000's. You guys have NO idea about the new 14,or like i said you are all chubby riders
Unfortunately you failed to read the parameters you set forth in your request for an explanation. You stated street race where traction on an unprepped surface will be limited off the line and the superior torque of the 14 will be negated by ensuing wheelspin. If you beat another person off the line with your 14R it's because you were more skilled at launching or, at the very least, just plain lucky because of the limited traction. At a track on a prepped surface, the equation changes. 14R FTW pretty much every time. I don't have a 14R. I don't have a 10R. I have a dinosaur but it holds its own pretty good. However, we've had several races against both at the track. Again though, you failed to realize the parameters set forth in your original question that both riders be of equal weight and equal skill by saying we must be overweight pilots trying to race lightweights. My rider is about 160-165 suited but, here again, I don't have a 14R or a 10R. I sure hope someone takes a couple of like modded bikes with equally skilled and weighted riders out there and actually does this test from about a 60 roll to take away all the launch variables. I'm afraid a few 14R owners with a superiority complex are going to be scratching their heads looking for answers. Somebody please do this.
