"I lump people into two groups, amateurs and professionals. You're either one or the other. We're both amateurs. We both pay to ride, we are not paid to ride."
Vic, Olympic athletes are also 'amateurs' aren't they? Mav has proven to be a much higher level of 'amateur' than you are... Grandpa. You said last year that you've taken 'turns at 100' went '160 several times' hit 175 once... As I said then, it's proof you ride like a grandpa. Again, you're not at the level of wanting/needing more. You wouldn't feel any benefit of more horsepower because you don't use (or perhaps know how to use) what you already have!
You're big thrill in life seems to be criticizing and shitting on other peoples Wheaties. When you do have a moment of valuable and constructive input, you then have to jump on anyone that happens to like the mod they've done. Have you always been so bitter?

Actually, the OP never stated that he liked the mod/flash. He only stated that he was happy with his dyno results. If all you want to do is run your bike on a dyno every week to see that number, then yes, a CBlast flash is the one for you.

Thanks for supporting my argument as to why timed numbers are so important. That's my whole point, indeed you are right I am not skilled enough to measure by ass my bike performs better due to an upgrade. Yep, right on!
Now, let me correct you on a few of your less fine points. They allow professionals in the Olympics. Son, either start wearing a helmet or proudly exclaim what helmet brand you wear. Because if I own that brand or am looking for a helmet I'll avoid it like the plague. Obviously in all your accidents, you've suffered severe dain bramage.
And proof of your brain pudding is that you're even remotely comparing Marvic to Olympic competitors even when they were all amateurs. What did Olympians ever do to you?
Someone wants to throw around drag racing creds, they'd better have at least won a regional event and have made it to final rounds at others. Otherwise they're just another douche that pays entry fees so they can taught their hobby level drag racing awesomeness. They don't turn people away. I'd like to see some close up pictures of Marvic's bike. I bet it ain't even safety wired.

This is the most amusing thread I have read in a long time.....
I am glad dude likes his flash, and he didn't wind up with a Cbrick like many other people seem to have.
Ok boys, fight!

We don't have to fight. See, Marvic said this here quote on in another thread on the forum. Seems I'm right after all, even by his own words. Nice to know people are seeing how well they actually agree with me... now if they can just get it in their little heads that it's OK.
I have been meaning to ask you guys... Can you really "seat of the pants" detect the difference in power with some of these flashes? I'm running the Guhl's flash and a full Brock's alien head 2 system and I honestly can't seat of the pants tell anymore. The acceleration of the bike doesn't produce ANY adrenaline anymore and maybe I have just grown accustom to its power. The only rush I get anymore is by defeating another rider in accelerate combat. Still stock wheelbase running consistent 9.11-9.18 passes and I'm numb to its power. It kinda makes me miss the days when the pull of the bike was a rush.

That's road racing but I guess nice attempt at a jab?
See, Marvic said this here quote on in another thread on the forum.
Quite right. After the Cblast flash I went my personal best mph and shortly thereafter personal best ET of 8.93.

Ok, two accidents since 1976 with almost 400k miles. First one I broke a finger, second one ribs and clavicle. Another example of you talking out of the wrong hole. Must be because you're so Butthurt all the time.
"So if some of us have the Cblast flash and like it is still OK to say some thing good about it and the guy too?"
No lytnin, if you like the Cblast flash you aren't allowed to say anything good about it or Sebastian. If you do, you will incur the wrath of DickThing. All hail DickThing - the one who has the ONLY correct opinion!
I'm sure there is a clinical diagnosis for the mental disorder you're displaying here Vicky. Someone who must always be right, no dissent permitted. Just because you have accomplished ZERO in a motorcycle sport, you have to put people down to feel good. Again... pathetic and sad. Have you stopped beating your wife yet???

He said he has seen bad flashes, and good flashes, 'flashes that do nothing,' and then he came across a C-Blast flash.
Vic, I don't think Cblast will be sending you a flash 'that does nothing.' I'm watching your own tach and riding that bike in blast and in OE. Looks like, tones like, ohms like a frequency is bumping that needle along in the other ECU. So it's more like you are in denial?
If you rode earlier 14's in the pre-flash era, I wonder if you would be bad mouthing Ivan and his tre, the harley boys and their VOES and that ign curve change.
The sheet is right there, the company has been named, all you have to do is call. I'm not going to call, I think the OP is legit. The 216hpeetroll, he has to prove that number on paper and the torque number.
Okay, now hold your trousers up for this one. Vic, I agree with you on a few points on the way you proposed the hypothesis. Only the approach of the subject needs to step away and not be the target but to observe the idea. For example, I can make bread... sure I can and it turns into a "Brick."... A bakery term for not rising. Banana bread, I can hold my own. Am I a baker that can make any loaf of bread around the world, a pastry chef? Not even close.
How close am I, Vic?
And buy the way, I bought you a snack... the others can munch on hot peesay

Know what I reckon Boys?
Enough is enough on this one.
Some of us love the Cblast flash and will not change that for anything.
Nor should you if it works for you so stay with it, good luck and all the best.
Some of us don't love the Cblast flash and will not change that for anything.
Nor should you if it doesn't work for you so stay away from it, good luck and all the best.
Some of us don't understand the silence from Cblast on this matter and will not change that for anything.
Nor should you so make your decisions appropriately, good luck and all the best.
There is obviously not going to be consensus or resolution on this or any related thread so lets just move on and go with what works for the individual.
Lets agree to disagree because we all have differing opinions.
Its what makes us human.
Live and let live.
How about we all redirect some of this passion to more productive subjects relating to our beloved ZX-14's rather than going over and over the same thing here and letting it all get a bit personal...

Couldn't agree more, young man... wise beyond your years.
Here's a scooter topic we can all enjoy: which grade/brand of engine oil is bestest for our Ninjees?
Let us discuss at length and excruciating detail.

On that note, I heard of a guy out west that takes your 5 quarts of oil you send him, puts it under a special radiation which he calls a "FLUSH", thus imparting the oil molecules with special abilities. The molecules grow a tail and wiggle themselves into places which cannot be reached by conventional oil. The molecules become like spermazoa and dont stop wiggling when engine is stopped. Be proud in telling your admirers that your engine will now last forever. However, the user is warned that testicular cancer becomes 100 times more likely.

Well I know this is the wrong bike sub-forum but mine is a 2008. From idle to 8000 was so disappointing that one had to wonder why they did not get a Busa. Header - TRE - 4 degree advance plate - PC5 and it had 180 on a dyno plus bottom end. The flash wars will drive you crazy but I went with Cblast. It has not been back on the dyno but what I have now is better around town fun. There is really no place to play with what these bikes will do so my fun is at 125 and lower out on the road.
Cblast may or may not have the best flash going but with the area I have to play in it is more than good enuf for me.

Lytnin; That is the proper review of a flash. No unsubstantiated claims of "faster", or dyno hp numbers, just "better around town fun". If it puts a smile on your face the first run, it's a winner!

It's fascinating how some flock to support forum members that balk "I know it allness" delivered with a touch of classless vulgarity. To the orange kitten and its felonious followers, I say, Bon appetite!
In the meantime enjoying your flash is what it is all about. I'm an ordinary man on an extraordinary bike, and my 14 has never disSppointed in putting a smile on my face!
Whatever tune you run, enjoy it!

Isn't it interesting how differently people interpret things. You see 'no unsubstantiated claim of faster', whereas I see a claim that the bike is faster at some speeds, and with no proof I'd call that unsubstantiated. (I do agree of course that there were no claimed figures)
But I'm still not willing to pay $400+ for a flash where there's still no proof it's actually faster.
I don't understand why you (and others) are willing to accept that. Why would't you want & require substantiated claims of faster?

OMG I have tried to bite my tongue on this, but I can't do it anymore,
IF you don't think a flash does anything, then DONT BUY IT, simple,
I'm not sure why the concept that the 14R is RESTRICTED from the factory
is so hard to grasp, (safety mode) MANY bikes throughout the years have come from the
factory restricted, brock showed the difference on the dyno, early on,
and one of C's critics said that his flash is at least equal to Guhl's !!!
I have posted this video twice, unless some of you guys think that
brock is lying, I have no idea what to tell you next,
I don't need a dyno, I KNOW my bike is running better, you can choose to
belive me or not, but I don't BS people, if you talk to people that have
known me for 30 plus years, they will tell you this, I am no expert or
racer or tuner, but I have been around and loved bikes since I was 10 years
old, and was working on them, (that's when I use to like to work on bikes)
A flash is NOT going to make your bike feel like it had a turbo or supercharger
Installed, but in my case, it was WELL worth the money.
Hopefully we can pull together, and do something constructive.
Ride safe all ...

Certainly I understand that, but I'd love to be as convinced as all of you flash supporters, so I haven't given up.
I'm getting opposite stories: One side provides proof that convinces me that his flash doesn't work.
The other side is a bunch of guys saying flashes increase speed, but instead of proof I see:
"Because I say so."
"Trust me. I have a lot of experience. I don't lie. I know what I'm talking about."
"Here watch this throttle blipping."
"I don't have proof, but I don't need proof."
See my issue?
I'd love to know that a $400+ expenditure would result in a faster bike.
