New rear tire, new CS sprocket, chain, and rear sprockets. Valve check, new plugs, carb sync, etc.
That rear tire, a Pilot Road 3, was replaced with 14K on it after more than two years service. It had more life, 1000's more, but I picked up two nails that did 'r in. I liked it a lot, the handling and mileage. I put another PR3 rear back on, and the front PR3 is still going...

Before replacing my rear tire yesterday, I rode for almost two years with an inside plug without any issues.

Got out for the first ride of the season. My wife has been telling me she wants to ride. Yesterday she said I want to ride tomorrow. Weather was saying today was going to be freakin awesome, so I went down to the garage and started to peal back the tarps covering the bikes. The kid has been painting car parts so the bikes have been under cover and plugged into their tenders. So I pull out the old ZX-11 first and fire it up and add some air to the tires. Took it for a checkout ride to the gas station and topped it up. The old Zed-X lives for another year. Wife is happy, she got to ride to work today and enjoy a nice after work ride.
Then I looked at the 14 and instantly thought to myself "what a dick" Parked the bike last year with bug kill all over the front of her. Bad Dave! Fired right up ready to go. I go to work at 4am, 4am is cold. But it was so worth it for the riding this afternoon on the way home. First thing when I got home I got her al pretty again.
Looks like a nice day to ride again tomorrow too.

Put on a new Continental ContiMotion rear tire. Have been able to get about 10K out of them on a regular basis.

First post on here but I have been reading up on stuff so thanks guys! Today I changed the coolant, new pads, brake fluid, spark plugs (what a pain!), installed a new front sprocket nut (battled with the original one a little too much haha)new Knight design pegs, thorough cleaning and adjusted the suspension settings... should be good to go for a while now!
Happy riding everyone!

Rode 210 miles. I think my speedometer freaked out... at one point it read 189. Washed bike, lubed chain, ready for tomorrow.
Pirelli Rosso IIs are getting down to the end of their life. 2420 miles and probably around 10% left. Wear has been fairly even on the rear, edge to edge. Fronts side tread is wore more than middle tread. I'd estimate somewhere around 40% of front center tread is there and 20% of side tread.
They're starting to exhibit that skiddish unstable feel at lean and curves, like I can't entirely trust them anymore. However, as far as when that EOL skiddish feel has appeared these are probably the best tires I've had in that regard. Q3s and M7RRs both seemed to have this set in earlier, maybe around 75% of the tires life. S20 Evos became skiddish fairly early (50-60%), and down right scary the last few hundred miles to the point I did not even attempt to take curves at above a slow pace.
If Rosso IIIs are a better tire than the IIs, they must be a really good tire. M7RRs in 50 or 55 next...I'll have to mount them in the next couple days.

Rook-I'm pretty sure you missed the subtle hint Vic was trying to make.

I'm 4 yrs old since buying my Bike and that's 15 yrs older to anyone under 40. The Arthritis and old injures have returned for good. Making me do more modification to my Ninja for Touring. It's has evolved to a Sports touring Bike, but now it is getting closer to a Concours in comfort. I ordered a Convertibars setup. I'm re-routing the hoses and electrical cables. The electrical cables will determine the height of the bars.
Next month my older Brother and I are riding to Glacier National Park. I will have the most comfortable Bike. He is riding my 1250s Bandit. We have been riding together for 34 years.
I wish Kawasaki would make a ZX1200ST Ninja. Make a smaller motor (so you can get the spark plugs out) and set it up with Givi Bags like the Ninja 1000. Leave the Bike with a long saddle, but more upright fairing and higher bars.
