My son-in-law finally picked up another bike, a 954, and I'm using it as an excuse to head down there for a long weekend sometime this summer.

Does anyone have any good economical ideas for transporting two bikes from a couple states away? I was thinking of getting a 6cyl. pickup from a car rental and trying to fit them back there till we get to Tenn.. I don't want to mess around with trailers if I don't have to.
