Trader Rating: (0) had some funny with a ZX14--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I did some roll-ons with my buddy on his 08 ZX14se The ZX14 has a set of M4 slip-ons and a Power Commander. My 08 CBR has 600 miles on the clock, the exhaust flapper mod, flappers have been removed from the air intake and a Dyno Jet IRC installed. He weighs 190lbs and I weigh 240lbs and both bikes were full of gas and in terms of skill we are dead even. The first race was from 50 mph he was in 2nd and I was in 3rd the intent was to make sure the revs were up on the 14. Once we took off he jumped two bikes out immediately however I made up the distance as quickly has he created it. I stayed on the throttle and shot by him as he foot shifted into 3 rd we both stayed on the throttle by the time I reached the top of fourth I was at least 10 bikes out on him. We turned around and we both started in second gear from 50 mph. The CBR just ran away from him like he was in reverse with the brakes locked. We switched bikes and did the same runs and with my extra 50lbs of weight on the ZX14 the ass kicking was even worst than before. We pulled over and laughed our ass off at the fact this little stock bike just walked all over the mighty ZX14. We have another friend that rides a 07 zx14 with a full muzzy system, Power Commander, no flies and a custom map. His bike made a 181 hp on a Dyno Jet 250i. This guy honestly believes he has the quickest\fastest bike on the planet simply because some dyno spit out a big number. He talked big crap about me "stepping down" to a liter bike and how I was too big and the bike would be slow because it made no TQ. He is closer to my weight and I won't give him the benefit of starting in a higher gear. My intent is to destroy his 1352cc ivory tower with one swing of my Fireblade Don't get me wrong the ZX14 is a great bike and very fast. In fact I sold one to buy a 08 CBR1000.
