funny you bring that up JDC .. I SAW A 400hp + turbo busa lose to a all motor 190hp gsxr 1k in a 1/2 mile roll-on at a bike shoot-out .. gearing is a killer if your not set-up for what your running .. now granted the gixxer was done at the 1/2 mile mark and was on rev limitor in 6th gear ... but that was the finish line 1/2 mile even tho the busa was just starting to run at the 1/2 mile mark ..

so don't think that turbo is everything when you get up against a real racer that knows how to play you ..

oh and the turbo busa did run 225mph at the texas mile later that year ..

I didn't know Honda made streetbikes Buhahahahahhahahha

I have not given ground to any liter bike in a roll-on.
That's why I left the mirrors on, so I know they're still with me.

Obviously there are a lot of things you don't know ………………. UFO slip-ons,Juice-Box,chrome rad screen, Shogun Chrome frame sliders………… you're lucky that thing even runs forget about being fast its pretty easy to see who likes to pose. I bet it looks like EBAY exploded on that poor bike. With that said go log into EBAY I heard they have some pink fuzzy dice for your mirrors.

Yes, I can understand.

I know with my bike if I wasn't at 5-6K to start a roll on, I'd be in trouble. 6-7 K would be even better.

Pretty tame under 6.

Thefore most of them get really hostile when they find out the bike they bought is not the best at everything.

Well in that case these guys should plan to stay hostile, cause no matter how good your bike is today, something better will be on the market tormorrow....guaranteed!

sorry you feel that way Rot...I can't speak for Willi here but I love my '07, fast, handles great and typical Honda quality. I think I'll buy an '09 next spring when the '10s come out, heck I may buy two, should be some great deals on 'em. Don't be confused by the fact they've been the undisputed top literbike two years running now, they prolly wouldn't support your great .....errr......mass anyway!

Badzx14r did ever occur to you that you don't see very many at the strip because Honda no longer makes a big bore sport bike. I bet you don't see very many Yamahas at he strip with the exception of a new VMAX or two but we all know what those are about. I have to tell you it begs the question "is that really you on the ZX14?" "are you really into drag racing like you say you are?" I only ask becuse many of the obvious things seem to fly right over your head. You also might want to let this guy know that you can’t make a Honda into a drag bikeWTF IS A ZX14 R. Kruz, Honda makes some great products to included motorcycles I don't think they need me to defended them"

well for you two Mr know it alls

1ST top sport bike 2 years running ... well that's Honda buying the title or was that decided because some rag guy like the site glass to the engine oil .. on the track they damn sure don't show much ..

2nd just because Honda don't make a big bore ("coughing" cause they failed and got their azz handed to them ) don't mean there is not no liter bikes at the track ... phuck the tracks around 60/40 liters over big bores .. but they are Suzuki's and Kawasaki's the other brands can't be competitive

3rd take you bikes to the track .. i have .. almost every weekend .. i know what is happening and i know what my bike runs ...i don't need to rely on some bike rag to tell me whats a winner ... i can see with my own eyes .. that yammies and honda's can't win at the track ..

Hold on... CBR had flappers out, but 14 didn't have its flies out... Other mods not equal either. Even though they are different bikes and indeed it's apples to oranges, I think a ZX with equal mods will keep up if not smoke a CBR 1000 in straight line.

In 2004, Stotz Racing’s turbocharged Honda CBR1100XX became the first Street Bike to set the 200 mph record (7.25 seconds at 200.49 mph).

This pretty much sez it all!

I have to tell you it begs the question "is that really you on the ZX14?" "are you really into drag racing like you say you are?"

I can verify that is him, nobody else can flatten out the suspension on a 14 like that or punch a bigger hole in the atmosphere!

Man this is fun!

Honda’s class-leading sportsbikes, the CBR1000RR Fireblade and the CBR600RR have once again proved themselves the best machines for the roads by dominating this year’s Isle of Man TT races, while continuing to feature among the most popular sportsbikes with the road-going public. Last week, in the capable hands of John McGuinness, Honda’s CBR1000RR took wins in the Superbike and Senior races at the Centenary TT. In the Senior race, John and the Fireblade also netted the new lap record, setting a new best of 130.354mph! The CBR1000RR also filled the top six placings in the Superbike race and the top three in the Senior race, proving that the Fireblade is still the machine to beat on the roads.

McGuinness said:

"I’m so comfortable and familiar with this Fireblade now and that’s what has helped us to get these results. It’s so dependable and reliable – but also so very quick! It’s an amazing machine in race trim, but I’ve also ridden a few road CBRs around the Island and they’re very special too. What I like about them is that Honda seems to make a chassis, which allows you to use the power of the Fireblade. The whole bike is so very useable compared to the competition."

John’s Fireblade is based on the road-going CBR1000RR, which has become a legendary machine since its launch in 1992. When production racing began again at the TT in 1996, it was fitting that the FireBlade won and dominated for a number of years.

Pay homage to the new king!

At the TT this year, the Fireblade’s success was mirrored by Honda’s CBR600RR where it proved itself to be the best road-going Supersport 600 machine. Ian Hutchinson claimed the Supersport spoils beating team-mate John McGuinness into second, with Guy Martin third, making it a CBR-blockout of the podium.

Isle of Man TT, most dangerous mountain course in the world dominated by John McGuiness and his screaming Fireblade. Why don't you just saunter your + sized butt over there and take back the all time course record of 130.3mph from Mr. Mcguiness?

In 2004, Stotz Racing’s turbocharged Honda CBR1100XX became the first Street Bike to set the 200 mph record (7.25 seconds at 200.49 mph).

look atthe date this is 2009 .. and that record has long since been taken over buy a Suzuki
