I feel pretty confident in saying though that they didn't hammer it to full throttle into 'redline limiting' and hold it there in Neutral.

Careful, Monty. Strictly inertia dynamometers don't simulate real world conditions: they are ignorant of rider mass, wind resistance, and any beneficial effect of ram air.

"Strictly inertia dynamometers don't simulate real world conditions"...well,that's what I mean,right?The ones I was mentioning run per a set program to simulate the speed of the bike and all,yes?Hell...IDK...I mean,they have a 'freewheeling' capacity for resistance,but they can also be programmed to simulate the road moving under the bike.My upper upper^^ statement was a bit tongue in cheek...but there are dynos that do the latter,aren't there?I thought I read about em before.Maybe those weren't dynos.I thought they were.You know what I'm talking about right?

I'm not gonna search for it right now...but I THINK it was on that Kawasaki Video of them prepping the new(not H2's)bikes for shipping,where they do the dyno runs.It was a factory 'walk through' thing.Pretty sure they showed a guy(tech)on the bike,on that machine..and called it a rolling dyno.

Think about what your saying guys. There is no possible way to create a proper tune if the dyno didn't load the engine to its full capacity. A dyno that didn't load the bike would be completely useless.

To Wolf: By 500KM your bike was broken in. Chalk yours up as a soft break in bike. I pushed mine to redline in every gear on the way home and out to my play spot.

turn the 'dyno' drum.I'm guessing these are electronically linked in some way to get an accurate matched speed.The bike was strapped front and back of course.

The load may be nothing more than the inertia of a roller supported on bearings. Then again, there could be a brake attached to the roller to supply a load.

They wouldn't redline a motor with minimal load or no load. That would be harder on an engine than running the bike to redline on the street. ...although I have seen video of some kid redline a GSXr in neutral for 3 straight minutes. Still seemed to run fine.

Man just doing other things. Sadly I haven’t ridden my bike in over a month. Just don’t have the interest in it like I used to. I may fire the Ol girl up this weekend though.

I haven't ridden since last October. Too much other stuff going on and not a lot of spare cash and plenty of modding projects to keep the bike out of commission.

Oh man we're fallin' apart ... I've been renovating the dilapidated barn my bike lives in ... started in December and not done yet ... and have technically not ridden once over that time period. I did crank it and ride it down to the traffic circle and back, 1.3 miles total

Metal roof was rusty as f$^% and leaking like a sieve. Purlins rotting from water running down them for decades. Plywood walls rotting from water running down them for decades.

This would've been faster/easier/cheaper to bulldoze and start over ... but we didn't realize that before starting.

Finally got a metal roof on it, all dried in, rotten crap all replaced. Two nicely functioning auto garage door openers, and the whole thing is actually lock-able and secure now. Working on the trim now. Then comes hardy plank, paint and DONE.

Yeah, times change but I'm not giving in. Heck, I'm just getting started. I'll have some extra $$ now so watch for my turbo build thread. I'm doing LSR in the years to come. I don't know if I can risk getting busted for triple digits anymore. LOL you weren't around either of you guys when the topic of triple digits on public roads was raging on the old forum. I'll never forget the guy who openly admitted to never exceeding 70 mph. His reason: "I'm a dentist." I can relate now. If it means your job, you might just want to go about speeding in a new way if you're going to do it.
