Thanks, Have boost guage, fuel pressure guage and LCD screen coming which will show afr.
I have a spare ZX12r back wheel with wavy zzr1100 rear disc on with knackered tyre so have all that you suggest.....
Now just require a map to study .......Andytunde@aol.com

Cheers for that Romans, Yours looks similar to how I had to lean mine off at the bottom end with the old PCIII.
Anyway that one is long gone.
I see you have a GM map sensor in the setup do ya reckon I should grab one too, at least I suppose then the PC kit will see a true manifold/inlet pressure and not just run off throttle % and rpm signals.
Thanks again for ongoing info.....

Not Any More. Now using AEM boost gauge. The 5 Volt signal out put into PC-V.

Looks good, and is functional.
Im with the small Fuel pressure and boost guage but dont like the pipes, probably go digital!
When they arrive I will also have the LCD screen with the AT and PCV hopefully as they stated I will be able to see AFR and log it.
Any thoughts of where to site the guages so they are not so intrusive or aftermarket looking?

My gauges are only in there current location to map. Where they are now is the only location I can see all at once. Even then it's not Easy. Love my AFR gauge for mapping but boost gauge #'s are to small to see when your head is shaking as you will soon C lol

Pic below is of my friends bike.

dont like the pipes,

What do u mean pipes. Hoses ?

Yes hoses to the guages , they are not the electronic sensor type need to tidy them up....cant see the pic?

Romans, I was just reading through an old post of yours and came across something which I wanted to clarify with you . You say you fitted a 3 bar map sensor and had mixed it with a standard one.....not sure what you did could you explain please....did you substitute on for the standard sensor?
Cheers Grin

At the time I did not understand,,,,, The Map sensor is not aloud to see pressure so I thought the 3 bar sensor was to replace,,,,, I now know the two are not related. Poor instructions to blame. I have a Brand new one if you need. Never used. I installed then removed as the same 5 volt output comes from boost gauge. Seems silly now but at the time the prick that I bought the kit from was in deep hiding.

This pic shows what I did wrong

So the standard map sensor stays in place to see vacuum and is still with a one way valve in the line to stop it seeing boost. Also you add and additional ,in this case a 3bar map sensor solely to send a signal to the PCV/Autotune to allow them to correct fuelling under boost/load conditions rather than just allow them to see throttle and rpm?
Does your map sensor have any wiring with it?

Yep, or timing is pulled back.

This allows you to build a pressure table. Get your out put voltage # at idle then voltage # output at full boost. These two #'s will allow you to build the table in the pc-V software and that's it. You will seeit running in the bottom right of your map screen. Hope this helps cheers.

RE: PC III USB map

I ordered from them anyway , the cost of the units were by far the cheapest I could find even if the postage was not so cheap, heres waiting!!!!!!
Its given me a little time to mod a couple of things, the boost pipe didnt clear the body work so have altered it ,much better and its further away from the exhaust now by quite a long way. still need to nickel plate a load of fasteners and put some braided hoes on the brakes, scabby unions that dont look nice, unfortunately not a new bike like yours. shes getting there though.
Just getting another llambda boss welded into the exhaust today.
! thing I would like to know is a few dimensions of the compressor housing, firstly the inlet hole size, I put on another housing that is correct depth and clearance onto the compressor wheel but has only a 50mm inlet, obviously this is going to flow less air, and I guess its why I had to weaken the mixture on the old PCIII so much down at idle. I may have to get another compressor housing if it doesnt flow enough air.
I know you have ,or had a VF34 but cant remember the dimensions...........
Cheers again

I know you have ,or had a VF34 but cant remember the dimensions...........

General IHI VF Series Information

Compressor and Turbine Specifications
The VF34 turbocharger has a compressor inlet diameter of 47.9 centimeters and a compressor housing nominal rating of C. The compressor has six blades. The turbine housing is a 9.4 PZ18-H with a 94001 turbine that has eleven blades.

The IHI VF34 (which comes standard in the Japanese market STi version "RA") is a new roller bearing turbo. It has the same specifications (compressor size, etc.) as the VF 30. The difference lies in the roller bearing which, theoretically, allows quicker spool and better response. It costs a couple hundres more than a VF 30. The VF 34 maxes out around 365-390 hp. It is probably the most popular option for big turbos on the WRX.

Hey Romans, how you doing, Well PCV is here, I see you have placed the units under the seat, I had my PCIII there,Do you reckon its a more suitable place to mount the two units as you have done. I know its easier access to plug into the PCV.......for map checking etc, just your thoughts:-)

Tried it both ways, to be honest makes no diff as I just leave the usb cord plugged in and run it down to a easy access point.

Romans I am just installing my kit today 9am just now and will have it running in a couple of hours Iguess it is the middle of the night there but wonder if you can give me the details of how your FPR is set what fuel pressure you have and the bleed screw position please?
Thanks

I have my fuel pressure set at 38lbs. I know it was supposed to be 42 but the skip in the map could not be fixed running 42lbs. Tried, but soon gave up after 20 new maps.

Bleed screw = thickness of a dime. This allows the pressure to bleed off. If not the boost pressure will stay trapped inside the regulator.

You do have fuel pressure gauge correct ? Blind if answer is no.

Make sure you see pressure rising or,,,,,,,, If not get off throttle ASAP.

hope this helps ?

Ill try fuel pressure down a bit too. Been messing with it most of the day looking into all aspects of PCV....

RE: PC III USB map

Nah ,just meant Id been reading up and making sure things were set correctly, I seem to have got a small problem that seemed to occur during the last occaisions I ran the engine with the PCIII but think it its nothing to do with PC unless its an electrical contact problem. It seems to lean off and richen when I input the figures but black smoke comes out in pulses from the exhaust (even when I weaken the mixture to stalling point)at idle and is very black on reving slightly and also on start up I get an almighty bang and flame from the exhaust.(fuel in exhaust?) I feel that one of the injectors is not closing properly, what do you think? I have also raised and lowered the fuel pressure and that has no influence on this particular problem( although it does behave correctly in respect of weakening the mixture or richening the mixture overall it does not stop the pulsed smoking) Oh it runs on all four cylinders and does not appear to miss at all
Any thoughts?
Cheers

Check ground to PCV(sounds like it,water bottle will give trouble), Install a Zero map, set throttle points, look at AFR and fuel pressure at idle. If all ok move forward.
